Introduce yourself

Hi Guys,

Im Mohamed and I have just joined the crypto space, I was previously a civil engineer but due to COVID I have been laid off. I am now looking to add to my skills and continue moving forward. This space of crypto is an amazing frontier and will be shaping our world in the near future and I want to be apart of that. I am from Melbourne, Australia and would love to meet members of this community with a passion for crypto.

My name is Louwrens, but people call me Louwtjie, as in younger Louwers, as in ‘loki’, or more like ‘low-key’. AND I USE TO LIKE TO PARTY, I STILL DO, BUT I USE TO TOO.

I got good management and sales exp, studied Entrepreneurship, tried and failed a few small ventures, still trying, but I need to go big, because local is dry.

Have been in the industry since 2017.
Don’t want to work for someone else.
Have some C++ knowledge, learning to program trading strategies.
Currently Sales manager with a team of conversion agents signing suckers up to CFD trading. I hate it.
I can sell anything, I can sell it hard and I can sell it soft, I can sell it in and out.

Get a project that I can believe in selling, give me leads, and I will sell. I Just cannot sell what I am currently selling anymore, but I cannot quit being the best at what I do, till I find something else to do.

Please reach out, I work 18 hours a day, if not managing my sales team (all working from home) I am learning, investing, and connecting in blockchain.

Cheers!~

Hello everyone.

My name is Jernej. I’m a European chemist currently working in pharmaceutical API production in China.

I’ve heard about blockchain and crypto a few years ago and I finally decided to learn more about these topics. I see much potential in this area.

I’m looking forward to gain knowledge.

Best regards to all.

Hello , I am Vishwajeet Kadam an ECE graduate with minor in Automobile Engineering from Pune,India .
I was introduced to cryptocurrency by the recent hack of twitter accounts of big influencers . I thought BTC is a scam and used for illegal purposes. But to my surprise this a new Internet Revolution happening.Would be glad to work in development activities of Block chain technology and do get some experience of crypto spaces.
With this DeFi space growing it is a good oppurtunity for developers to look into it.
I am a good cook and have a addiction of collecting perfumes…Might sound silly…
Looking Forward for the same…

Hi, is Suisseborg a DeFi project? thanks for answering.

Hi everyone!!

My name is James Shim and I am currently living in America (originally from South Korea). I am working as an auditor at Deloitte and have been very interested in this Blockchain/Cryptocurrency space since 2017. I have been watching Ivan on Tech YouTube channel over 2 years and learned many things in terms of how this industry is growing up and what happens in the market, especially Financial Service areas. I feel that it is time to learn more fundamental knowledge including programming since I am more seriously thinking about joining this industry as my future carreer.

Since I did not have any experiences in programming, I was a little bit hesitated to register but as Ivan always says, it is time to learn and focus on this Blockchain industry so I want to give a shot!!

I hope I can ask many questions to you guys and wish to share my success with you in the future.

Thanks,

James

Hi all,

My name is Matt. I started learning about blockchain in 2016 then I became obsessed with it in 2017. So far I have focused on learning about new projects, learned how to trade from a professional group and I have taught many friends about Blockchain as well. I also formed a small group of friends to help keep up to date on various projects and news within the space.
Since 2017 I’ve researched Blockchain and related projects every single day. I thought I’d use this academy to know more in depth since I’m lacking in development skills.
About me, I enjoy video games, working out, and deep discussions about wine. I started my own YouTube channel this year covering video game news, which I enjoy quite a bit. I live in the US and I’m excited to learn more!

Hi, nice to meet you all!

Steve, 43, Melbourne Australia.

Currently full time backend software engineer (RoR) and have been programming for 20 years.

I bought my first BTC in 2013 (only $50 worth @ $250) and what a convoluted process it was! Then again I bought at the top of the $1000 bubble :man_facepalming:t4:. I have made more investments along the way and taken profits too, all in all, I have taken out my initial investments and still have some nice small bags.

BTC saved my life when I was travelling in the US in June 2016 and lost my wallet. I jumped on Reddit and found someone to meetup with and sold them 1 BTC for ~$700. Got me out of having to sleep on the street! Even though BTC went on to pump like hell, I am still grateful for that today.

I was immediately exited by the potential for programmable money as soon as I heard about the concept, and as it was for many of us, I had to learn more. I have dabbled with Solidity and remix but I was in the tutorial hell as Ivan would say, and never had the discipline to stick to it.

My regrets:

  • Putting too much value on the job I have/deepening my knowledge in tech areas that are already saturated and competitive.
  • Not investing my time and energy into tech I have a real keen interest in
  • Not taking massive profits at the top of last bubble

My goals:

  • Learn fast
  • Make like-minded friends
  • Join/Start my own projects
  • Make a living in crypto

Hello Everyone!

I’m brand new to the crytpo ecosystem. My goal is to learn how to code so that I can become financially independent. I look forward to collaborating with all of you in the future.

Hello, my name is Carlos I am 19 years old and live in Mexico. I´ve been learning about blockchain during a year, but right now I am one semester away from finishing my professional career and I feel that I can learn something else. My main objective is to start programming and is really interesting how blockchain works and I would like to create something related to it.

My name is Mike and I’m here to learn how to program on Ethereum. Blockchain might be the future so I better learn how to get involved. Just kidding, blockchain is definitely the future

Nice to meet everyone!

Hello, my name is Nikki. I bought my first bitcoin in august 2017 and then boom: The hype was on. I thought: This is either the biggest scam in history or something very important. So I want to know more.

Hi @ivan and Ivanontech community,

My name is Adrian and I work as a Global Partnership Director within a b2b Tech company, based in the UK. In addition I am involved in Real Estate and Tech startup investing. I’m also big into health and fitness - gym, hiking and travelling (until this years events stopped travel). I am the perfect definition of a newbie in this space!

I have previously founded and sold multiple businesses (that were unfortunately not tech based/and therefore not scalable). I have always seen the value in being able to code, however I haven’t ever done any. As I started to learn this past few months about crypto/blockchain as the future, I finally came across the Ivanontech youtube channel - awesome content, and love the passion and knowledge Ivan shows (even if its a wild listening ride when listening to him at x2 speed)

I am here to:

  1. learn about the industry as much as i can - and start crypto investing
  2. learn some basic coding skills to be able to better understand under the hood
  3. meet some like-minded people - both beginners and experts
  4. at some point find the right team to create a tech startup - where my principal input will be the commercial and business strategy elements

Please feel welcome to reach out and connect.
I am also on linkedin at:

Hello everyone, nice meeting you. Time for a brief introduction.

My background is in Finance/Economics; have been working in Capital Markets (Trading, Structuring) in various locations and financial institutions over the last 15 years mainly advising institutional investors (i.e. hedge funds, financial institutions, etc). In addition, spent about 2 years in Fin-Tech with a focus on derivatives.
My interest in Bitcoin started around 8 years ago, but it took me until recently to really understand the potential of the space and the implication it has for, well, pretty much every industry. And clearly, nothing beats being able to follow a passion full time, right ? Therefore, my goal here in the academy is to learn as much as possible, make new connections and to have fun exploring where this can take us. Exciting times we live in ! Looking forward to taking this journey together with you guys.

My name is AJ Norris, I’m a financial advisor at Norris Financial Group in SC. Very interested in learning more about crypto and it’s applications to the future of my industry.

Glad To start the Journey. found Ivan on You Tube
