Hello Everyone!! My name is Deon. I’m finally joining the Toshi Times crew. I’ve been a member of IVAN on Tech academy since late 2017 (Deep Blockchain Fundamentals). I’m finally working my way through the Blockchain Business Masters Class and can’t wait to get to all the information. I’m Glenn (real name) (I never use pseudonymous). Today I enrolled the course on Blockchain Programming. I am super excited !!! I have some knowledge on programming and I have been in the Crypto space for about 2 years, working with a group of colleagues with the dream to BUIDL !! I am a professor of Neurology and Neuroscience in Costa Rica. But, I am half Japanese. I worked for about 2 decades in Japan as a professor and science researcher. Now I moved to Costa Rica.
I have also studied Software Engineering at the University in CR. There I found something that changed my life completely about 2 years ago: Bitcoin !! I read the WhitePaper and a lot of other material and fell in love with it. That was long before 2017 crazy bull run !! Last year, a couple of colleagues and I decided to BUIDL something on top of the Blockchain. We have stayed together and we have gathered a lot of people who are with us !!
During last year, our group grew a lot, we have conducted hundreds of study sessions, created dozens of proposals, and published lots of articles (I write for a blog called Global Crypto News btw, which we dream to develop later into a news service). So far, we are 100% self-funded, so things take time !! However, our sessions and specially the news have been putting us in contact with many projects and their heads. We are grateful about this !!
One year ago we decided to study hard and to keep together and help other legitimate project that are trying to launch good stuff. During 2018 we have been studying Blockchain related topics and also Economics (specially Austrian Economics) and this year I have proposed an idea to my colleagues. It’s a totally decentralized concept that I call DecentralBank . If we get to launch our project, we will not call the project like this. This is is just a concept I use as the title of my theoretical framework (sorry: I am a University scholar, so I have this tendency, to build a theoretical framework, then a logical framework, in order to be able to test the system of premises and rules).
We are calling ourselves MERITO only…, I thought of this name (the word in Latin for “Merit” since we are thinking about an open fin system based on social cooperation: “deserving”)… We are just starting now. But, we are having a lot of support. For this reason, I had been looking for a good course where I could go through all kinds of Fundamentals in blockchain development. I have some knowledge. But, as a scholar, I like to go from A to Z in any science I try to master. I compared many options and liked Ivan’s the most !! BTW, I have followed Ivan for centuries !! I love this style and how Ivan has evolved !! Ivan, you have a loyal follower here in Costa Rica. My son in Japan loves you too !!
In my case, my intention right now is to build our project on top of Ethereum. So, probably I will try to concentrate more on Ethereum. But I am excited to learn about NEM too. Also, I want to learn a little more about Bitcoin programming. I know a little about Bitcoin’s code. But not in depth. I love Bitcoin. So, next course would be Bitcoin Programming… Right now, I’ll concentrate in this one while I work with my colleagues in the design and development of MERITO. My name is Tamas and I’m from Hungary, I work as a webhosting specialist and system administrator for a hosting company. I started to learn about cryptocurrencies 2 years ago. I built a small GPU mining farm and I gained a lot of experience in mining and also optimizing the hardware for profitability and efficiency. Unfortunately mining was getting unprofitable for me and last year in autumn I sold all my equipments. Now I have a little bit more free time and I decided to use that time effectively and learn about blockchain technology and smart contract programming.

My name is Oscar and I’m from Spain. I have tried to learn about the blockchain since the last year, first by watching IvanOnTech in Youtube and now with the Easter discount I have enrolled for the Academy. I have just finished the Blockchain Deep Fundamentals course and I am starting the Smart Contract Programming one.
I’m an engineer so I know something about programming but I’m not a pro. I hope to learn as much as in the Blockchain Fundamentals course and I’ll try to help everyone in what I can.

I’m a Cryptoenthusiast since 2013, i was before that into Hardware and just Building funny stuff and i did Penetration testing as a Hobby, so i hope some can relate obviously for my passion behin DLT’s ^^
I started my mission to educate about practicle usecases in the crypto field and travel to show in diffrent countries how it works and what they should consider, since i live off the system now since 3 Years and only use some apps and Crypto to live survive and move,but since you all know how the hype cycles play out it wasnt an easy task and i crumbled myself in depression and selfdoubt.I finally made it to India and im searching for creatives here to make better video content for the watchers and show them that it is possible to live of it but they also need to be aware of the danger and setback, kinda like a modernized version of the trumanshow and You vs. Wild ^^ but its still just an idea and im not happy with the content i produced so far as i know i can do better but that’ll hopefully change soon if i meet the right likeminded individuals who whould like to help,participate and can identify with this mission because its bigger then us and i want to do my part aswell and open new possibilities were people havent thought they exist.Well that was my short introduction to have a sense of me guys i feel very happy and apreciated for what this is and how ivan and filip did this all by themselves. its just amazing we live in a wonderful time and we are all together in this,just wow ^^anyway that was enough for the introduction if you have more questions about my background get in contact with me and vice versa of course , maybe we can make cool things happen all ideas are welcome and till then im going to the acedemy to see what i can do with my unordered knowledge of programming and learn some new skills myself aswell.thank you if you made it this far that just means a lot to me <3PS: sorry for typos i can speak english better then i write it ^^ thanks for having me here <3 oh yes my Name is Avian forgot about that ^^

I’m David, living near Sion right in the Swiss alps.
What brought me here? My desire to upskill in the blockchain knowledge, technically and on the business side too. As the technology gets the interest of companies, it is a good moment to jump on board as demand is likely to rise.
My background is in software engineering and apps design in general. You can ask me help concerning programming, software engineering, architecture in a general way. Especially done Android apps ranging from drone piloting to car radio specifics, a few web apps and traditional desktop C++ development as well. Tinkering in embedded too with Atmega microcontrollers (think Arduino) and passionate of game development (my engine of choice is Godot). I can also give tips concerning UX and graphic design.
Ivan’s course was personally recommended to me by a friend living in Geneva. I have been following the fundamentals so far and it raised a lot of my understanding in crypto and blockchain.
Although I have been trading a bit various tokens in the past on some exchanges, I did not know those precious insights on the underlying technology.
