I want to increase my workout time and to do it daily at least 30m to 1 hour. During the summer I use to go jogging every morning and I was feeling good but now in the winter period I miss this thing. Waking up 30 minutes early could give me extra time to do some home exercises.
I could wake up 1 hour earlier every morning to do a bit of Ivan-on-Tech / Moralis academy before starting my day
Getting on a earlier schedule at work so I could get off earlier or have a option of working more overtime
I have made many changes in my life that reduced my time preference, but something that I have not is my love and consumption of beef and beer.
I think changing eating habits will help motivate me and also help with energy. I like to procrastinate so getting started would help on earlier returnsā¦
I end my Lunch with tea and biscuit or coffee and biscuit. Gives me sheer pleasure, but will make it only once a week.
Iām a sucker for Oreos. I know the short term satisfaction will harm me in the long run if I continue to goggle Oreos without exercise and proper diet.
Changing up my caffeine habit would help me feel more delayed gratification as less would be needed to feel the same effects as well as my whole body feeling better and less caffeine dependent over time. Now that i right this⦠the same would be true for alcohol consumptionā¦
I spend a silly amount of money on clothing and I have way too much of it. I could instead decide to put the money I would normally be spending on clothes into an asset hat will hopefully accrue value over time unlike the clothes hat eventually must be given away or thrown out
First thing that comes to mind is eating at restaurants. The cost is often twice what I could pay at the grocery store, it just takes putting in the time to creating a meal.
Spending money in a subscription at the Moralis Academy is actually a reduction in my time preference of money. Instead of spending my cash going to eat out, I use the money to obtain valuable knowledge which will increase my professional market value in the future.
When it comes to food shopping. I could over spend on buying treats, snacks, cakes etc ; stuff that isnāt nutritionally healthy for me. Instead, focus on the proper foods that actually matter. Save that extra money and using it for something more valuable in the future.
I could stop trying to āhave funā ie: go out to clubs or vacations after a few financially successful months. Instead buy more assets or make investments so my wealth can accumulate and grow.
- As a night owl and staying up late reading/researching i find it tends to drain my energy in the morning, in which i should be using to wake up fresh, nice and early. A time shift in sleep patterns would enable me to do the same things with more energy through out the day, which would also increase productivity.
I should devote more time towards exercise, perhaps 30 mins a day. This effort should improve my overall stamina and give me more energy to focus on my studies.
- Creating discernment on deciding what is worth your time and energy in the long run will help. For example not choosing to go out with your friends (spend money), but educating yourself in your room will in the long run pay off with knowledge and even earn you money. That doesnāt mean that you shouldnāt socialize or have fun, we are all human. But choose the right people that can help eachother grow as individuals or choose the right activities that can restore you with good energy and give you new ideas. So there are lots of decisions that you can make and you are free to dicide. Which reminds me of the quote, āHard choices easy life. Easy choices hard life.ā by Jerzy Gregorek.
Propose a change you could make to one of your habits, that would reduce your time preference from high (instant gratification) to low (delayed gratification) time preference. It could relate to any aspect of your life (financial, diet, exercise, relationships or education).

Watching less TV at night to increase time spent on completing these courses.
Iām fully focused on learning and growing now. No parties, no bars, no girlfriends, no travel. I lived a bit backwards for a while, and enjoyed to the max - but now Iām loving the concentration and delayed gratification.
Im spending less on unnecessary items, and more on crypto. Even the way I think has changed: these jeans are 100 euros or 0.8 egld, that could be worth 400-500 euro next year. I
m still working on eliminating the bad habit of scrolling through social media and use that time for more reading and studying.
