Activity Lesson 2

I could postpone buying a new car. My current car is 10 years old, and the paint is dull. However, it only has 75,000 miles on it, and it is in good condition mechanically. I could get a paint job for my old car, and invest in Bitcoin instead of buying a new car. In five years I will better off financially.

I love working out and like many people, I have gone throw the phase of not eating junk food at all. Was it sustainable? No, but still I gave it a try. Then I began my journey throw meditation, I have loved every single phases of my life. I will improve in my financial aspect, by not spending on unnecessary things, I´m a teenager and many my age try to fit in, that is the worst thing anyone can do, instead I prefer to invest all I can on myself. I love seeing people challenging themselves to be better. Everyone, keep up the work, you will succeed, Love and Peace.

well, I actually just had to make this decision. I could afford buying property right now; however, due to the insanely inflated real estate market where I live, I decided to put off buying to (1) save a bit more, (2) avoid overbuying this asset only for it to potentially depreciate in value in time.

Exercise and meditate daily. By doing each of these delayed gratification activities (one active and the other just being) it prevents a reactive instant gratification of eating mindlessly sitting around, eating snacks and drinking caffeine. Instead I could burn energy and later sit still and being not doing.

Getting up earlier, immediately doing chores and not procrastinating would save many hours worth of productivity which would benefit future me.

I can change the way I diet, I have been consistently working out but still find myself getting fast food occasionally after working out.

As someone who spent huge amount of time in wine business and world of wines, I’ve learned that for first vintage of wine, when you plant your first vineyard - you need to wait, work hard and remain resilient (financially and physically) FIRST FOUR YEARS…and only after that 4th year you will be able to get your first bottle of wine from your vineyard. Let’s start thinking about our commitments as our own vineyards, and let’s make 4 years plan in order to get that wine. I need to create small crypto vineyard and work hard and passionate to learn, preserve and cultivate that vineyard so I can enjoy later on in some exceptional vintages from that crypto-vineyard. Eat clean, live healthy, stay fit and kind to others, have PMA, remain resilient and keep learning and expanding your knowledge no matter what. L@VE

I would propose to myself to only gaming after all other work has been done.

I could look at more exercise in the form of walking on a daily basis to reduce my time preference from High to low…give me time to think and organise my life.

I could do once more exercise per week. All though i do 3 times per week already.
And less alcohol. At the moment it makes me depressed with all that corona and i have more alcohol…

For me it would be to invest some money, cut on the spending and working out to keep a great shape and being healty on the long run !

A change I could make would be to not gamble on sports. This has a very high time preference. Instead I could keep that money in savings or invest it with the long term in mind.

I will start saving 10% or more of my monthly income in profitable crypto currencies or gold

On my way to work I always stop at the convenience store to buy a large
cup of coffee. Some weeks I work 6 days. I could buy a bag of coffee beans
for the price of 2 cups of coffee at the convenience store and save the
difference I would have spent.

I would do more physical activity’s. Like go on bike rides, exercise, jog more.

I could spend lesser time scrolling thru facebook and instead I can use the time to enhance my knowledge on cryptocurrencies, work out or even talk to people.

I generally have a habit of trading one type of time preference for another, which is not always logical.

My DNA is a brilliant financial saver, and in such I look for ways to cut costs to an unreasonable degree. This could mean trading a healthy meal, for a cheap and dirty one.

I realise health is probably the most important part of life, but I far too often disregard health for minimising my spending.

Same can be said for time decisions. I often place too much weight on the cost of something, rather than the efficiency of it. And this drive to always find the lowest cost for something turns out to be illogical and more costly in hindsight.

E.g. I will walk an hour somewhere, rather than catch a bus or uber to save $3. Now, the price of my time is significantly more than that but these habits are so deeply engrained.

I try to learn new skills every day. I am enrolled in a software engineer study at university, I study here with IvanOnTech for knowledge about crypto to widen my ability to find a good job in software. But I also spend some time learning how to grow a vegetable garden and how to preserve my produce, how to bake bread from scratch, learning about medicinal uses from plants, what plant I could eat that grows in de park down the street.

But all that learning distracts me from what matters most to me and I find myself short tempered towards my loved ones, because I feel they want my attention now, and I need it to make sure I can feed them in the future.

And that is what I need to change.
Live more in the now, with my fantastic six year old son and my great husband.
And of course I need to exercise more and eat less and throw away my phone.

One thing I could change to bring my time preferance down would be to stop impulse buying cosmetic things in games for gratification and pride, and to be content with the default of the item as it serves no purpose and has no potential gain for me or my experience.

I eat out, in restaurants, a bit too often. I would definitely save a lot of money if I delayed the gratification of having a good meal a little bit, and cooked for myself on more occasions instead.
