Activity Lesson 2

Interesting self reflection point. I am absolutely convinced that in stead of working 12-14 hour days, the same could be done in 9-10 hours, with better quality of life as a result which in turn would yield better energy for other things. It’s not about the quantity of your work, but the quality of your work and how effectively you use time. This comes from :

  • good time management (make a realistic plan and follow it)
  • Take short but effective breaks to relax the mind
  • Don’t spend useless time in front of TV, Youtube, Phone, etc… it’s effective time lost
  • Don’t forget about family because it’s also for those loved ones around us that we do those tasks

Take a good distillation of all of the above and you get a list of action points (also for myself).

Good few months ago I decided to do something every day for 5-15 mins a day every day, in a long term the exponential grows is crazy, but 5-15 min during any day is nothing.

  1. 2-3 workout sessions a week - 30-40 mins each time could be a lot for some people, but 5-15 min every day is easy done and mentally easier to prepare
  2. Reading every couple days for 10-20 mins exponentially couple of books a months, before I didn’t read any or always delayed, again 10-20 mins a day is pretty easy, read 30-40 mins 3 times a week quite a big deal for me, I am getting exhausted quickly
  3. Studying something for 10-20 min a day exponentially again better than not studying at all for couple of hours few times a week …

Hope you got my point, do something you wanted always to do for 5-10-15-20-25-30 mins a day every day, in a long run you will win

Propose a change you could make to one of your habits, that would reduce your time preference from high (instant gratification) to low (delayed gratification) time preference. It could relate to any aspect of your life (financial, diet, exercise, relationships or education).

LOL financial side already covered!
Diet and exercise! Will reduce the calorie gratification intake so that it is less then or no greater then calorie spent during exercise.

It would be beneficial for me to work with only halve of my income and invest in my own education. I do plan to do crypto full time after this academy, which will greatly increase my income when I will be working as a developer.

  1. To accumulate more deflationary assets with a high return in the longterm, and sell fiat backed stocks.

I have frequently been enrolled in keep fit classes like Yoga, power yoga, gym etc. as I am not really very motivated to exercise regularly and have felt that guilt about the money spent upfront on these classes would steer me to being regular with these sessions. However, this is only partially correct.

Now, life in the time of Covid-19 has opened my eyes to the multiple YouTube videos that allow you to carry out fitness regimes from inside your house without the need for any fancy and expensive equipment or membership at such studios. If you have a smart TV with a big screen (and who doesn’t??), it is almost like having the instructor in the room with you. This is one expenditure stream that I will not be going back to, immediately.

Less time on social media would equate to more time on productive activities through out the day.

I think I could cut back the time spent on video games so that I could spend more time on studying or other activities that could promote my career in the future.

I will wake up 4am everyday without checking my phone and start working out and eat breakfast.

After I do a long walk I should not binge on desert.

reduce my screen time on movies and social media and attend courses to improve myself for future relevance

Instead of immediately going into “chill out” mode after work, I could spend an additional 30 mins on the academy or learning coding.

I could also schedule my workouts in advance at the beginning of each week so I am committed to doing them rather than becoming busy with other things.

Learning to eat healthier for “future Homer” is something that could benefit me. Instead of eating that burger with fries (which is always delicious) for an almost equally delicious salad will help my future self be more healthy and confident in my body image.

I could make every three course meal out in a nice restaurant a two-course meal. That means either sacrificing the starter for dessert or vice versa. This will increase wealth both financially (in terms of what I don’t spend after earning) and also in terms of my diet (in terms of what extra calories I don’t consume after exercising in the day)… With regard to the latter point, the choice of dessert is obviously crucial e.g. fruit salad instead of chocolate brownie - but ultimately I think both points are valid.

I’d rather stop spending more and more on weight loss and abs training devices and start using them just a bit each day to beat my own lazyness and finally grab a desired result. It’s like a rat race pretending getting the last new device to train but never actually start using them every day pretending the devices will walk and develop legs to come to us and work out for us

I could spend 30 mins less on Youtube ,watching peoples predictions on crypto…this will lead to less FOMO and more Ivan on Tech Academy education.

I could say reduce spending on personal items. Maybe something needs done to my campervan or something needs bought as an extra part for my new bike or equipment for camping. There is a few things I could stop spending on. Possibly conduct some projects around the house that are cost efficient. Like this pizza oven I’m currently building. That’s cheap to build and it will make us.some amazing food that could result in not spending at restaurants as much.

Waisting time watching or listening to things i feel need to motivate me in order to get me started on any project i wanna do. The overconsumption of content.

Set aside time for formal blockchain study on a daily basis - cut down on Telegram usage (have started!)
