I’ve been trying to connect with myself for a long time by doing activities like meditation but couldn’t avoid lethargy at dawn. I can practice delayed gratification by managing my sleeping hours and becoming a better self.

I could swap out my second cup of coffee for a workout.

lol love it!!! let me know if you have success :innocent:

meditation is important to me too. I’ve been trying to meditate every morning, many times i get to work and have to brush teeth and hair once i get to my office to make it on time cause i spend 25ish min meditating when i normally get ready during that time. in the best world i’d wake up 30 min earlier but hey we know that aint gonna happen LOL!

i could leave my gains to build my crypto investment stack thus giving me more to invest in other projects.
(at least while the bulls are running LOL

Habits can be very hard to change and I myself have many bad ones. For example I need my hat cup of Mocha made with quality roasted coffee and amazing chocolate. So Ivan. I dont take my coffee black but I do not use milk either. Mocha is the way heaven. But this habit is not really a bad one and provided Im not buying daily my coffee from Starbucks for 5 dollars a cup it should be fine. However I am also not the best at saving. This is due in part to my previous lack of understand in regards to what is the difference between Wealth, money and currency.

I propose that changing the habit of overspending is already helping me to realize gains and potential. However I have struggled to maintain this new habit at times. Regardless, about a year ago I think that I never would have seen myself here at the Academy. I didnt have the money to pay for more education and my job was offering me very litter in regards to wealth. The pandemic changed all of this dramatically and rather quickly too. Slowly over the course of this last year I have been putting a lot of time and efforts into developing better spending habits as well as spending my earnings on better purchases that produce. I got a small flock of ducks for eggs and meat and I also built a farm over this last summer and have filled my freezers with produce. My food bills have decreased considerably. I also began investing in Crypto and am now here looking to work full time in the industry. The changes have been incremental and at times difficult to practice habitually. But over time I have slowly accumulated a nice portfolio. It is amazing how many major changes we can make simply buy taking small steps in different directions.

Could I recommend these things then?
Ankidroid.
Podcasts.
Audiobooks.

Audible allows bookmarks.
I’ll be listening to them while doing all the mundane tasks of the day.
I use the bookmark function to make points that I put into Ankidroid so that they are committed to memory later. I currently have about 2,000 cards and it only takes me about 15 - 20 minutes a day to cover the ones presented that day.
The combination of podcasts, Audible and Ankidroid makes learning easier and gets me off social media.

I don’t know it that’s useful to you, but it’s a great way to learn in ā€œfound timeā€.

When it come to life invest in education, try treat people nice like how you want to be treated and just find what you really good at and master it! Focus on self growth

I would like to spend more time investing in my education. I feel that putting off having fun, entertainment, spending time with friends and other hobbies such as music is worth it because later in life it may be possible that I have more time and money to do those things.

Instead of wasting some half an hour every evening watching useless videos on YouTube I could study half an hour more on Ivan on Tech! Spend time educating myself instead of instant gratification through relax

Wake up everyday 1 hr earlier, (sometimes I am already awake anyway I just stay in bed), and meditate. This will increase focus, performance, help your brain to connect to yourself and feelings. Somedays I do miss but putting effort I have noticed that it becomes a habit and you start to actually miss it and your body and brains asks for it because it is good for you. So sometimes I go running for 20-30min, and do a 15 min meditation…Started slow 2x a week, now 3x week and if I do not do that I miss it. :weight_lifting_man:t4: :star_struck: Respect the PUMP haha  :alien:

I could refrain from going out for a coffee every day and instead put the money in a (digital) jar. I’d forego the (arguably delightful) daily jolt of caffeine, but I’d have an extra 1,000 bucks or so saved up by the end of the year.

I think that I could benefit mostly by avoiding procrastitating and focusing on one thing at the time. Also, since we are in crypto, looking at the exchanges all the time is very time consuming, addictive and counter-productive. While it offers some kind of instant gratification and happiness, it does not give you anything. I wish I could just HODL and forget about it for a while.

I believe investing in education displays one of the best time preference choices one can make. Money is spent on increasing financial education in order to bring further benefit in the future.
Another great example id HODLing and Dollar Cost Averaging

doing sport 30 min daily and avoid procastrination would improve my health level in the future.

Make 30 min Sports activity a day

Reduce time spent on Facebook to learn something new like economy,
Taking good book instead of taking mobile phone when you go to :wc:

This one for me is all about Social Media. I have started to make changes. For example, rather than sitting around making myself laugh while scrolling mindlessly, I decided to take a class - to learn something. I found that I can budget more time to learning and less time for over-sleeping. Crypto is my choice of time preference - from instant gratification to a long term, life changing subject of learning
