Activity Lesson 2

Use 1 hour of the time I have after a working day, not for looking at entertaining videos online, but to learn a new skill.
I already started with my passions as 3D, Music, and now I’m adding this course to it.
I really feel not wasting my time and everyday improving myself, learning new things and increase my value by time.

In the summer of 2020, we got a bathroom scale. It was the first one we owned since the last one broke 5 years ago. When I stepped on the scale, I was a bit shocked to see the amount of weight I gained. I began watching my portion sizes and drinking less soda. Slowly results came in. I was down about 20 lbs. by the holidays, but it was the holidays, and I had lost 20lbs. I wanted to “cash in” those rewards. Needless to say, I put back on 5 of those 20 lost lbs.

Going to get back in gear now. Future me deserves better.

At this point in my life, I definitely have these things in check with finances, exercise, diet and education. The other thing not mentioned in this article that I’ve noticed in my life is having consistency. Every single day making these delayed gratification choices.

I will start waking up consistently at the time I want to wake up in the morning and go to bed earlier too, at the time I want to go to bed.
In this way, I will maximize my effectiveness performing, my health and all and I will reap the great rewards of it in the distant future.

I have almost always been frugal with the money that i have and end up saving more than i spend. I’m the type of person to get excited over an insignificant purchase as I felt accomplished in being able to buy it; however, the first step for me would most likely to follow the tips given by the reading. I tend to fit into the category of people that will eat big after an exercise. Maybe not directly, but accumulative during the day.

Spending less time on social media to instead learning a new language. I live since 5 years in the Netherlands and my Dutch still sucks… this will for sure bring a delayed gratification.

I could get up 1-hour earlier in the morning and learn something new. This would lead to eventually being able to obtain work in a new learnt field.

Propose a change you could make to one of your habits, that would reduce your time preference from high (instant gratification) to low (delayed gratification) time preference. It could relate to any aspect of your life (financial, diet, exercise, relationships or education).

I do have a habit of surfing around in web circle on the internet, that can take a good 1 hour, after been reading and watching some contents, that in the end doesn’t return anything that matter that much, f.ex. staying to long on social media or on some news side.
Instead I could exchange it for 10-20 minutes for some circle of exercises.

The previous reading Lessing really hit home because when I go to the gym I typically do eat more that day or the next. I will like to set a goal to consistently workout but offset my calories enough to be in a deficit by biking for at least 30 min a day

I could not sell my BTC as soon as it goes above my buy in price but leave it and HODL until the price has mooned and i need to cash out & retire :nerd_face:

I could work less and spend more time in study and training to open up more perspectives in my life.

I should start work out more and go out little bit more. I know there is no excuses but im gonna blame corona

As a working couple, my wife and I work very hard throughout the year. Although we have our wealth ambitions and goals, we often feel the urge/temptation to “reward” ourselves whenever we get a real from work, usually during the holidays. This tendency is not healthy. Since starting this course, we have reflected on this with my wife and decided that we need a higher level of discipline to reach our financial goals. This is how we have decided to move financially in 2021 and going forward, keeping more of what we are earning than we spend.

Instead of waching new series every evening I could exercises.

Reorganizing my interior I realized I have bought some items that I barely used - so enough - we are what we consume ! so I preferred to invest this money in crypto at least it will be useful for later than futile belongings.

I could try to keep my calorie intake down during the week so that I can eat just a little more on the weekends. But I know it’ll be really hard for me to do. Eating is one of my favorite activities.

I could wait to eat my breakfast until after my workout.

This is a change I actually made several months ago, but it’s so good I can’t resist using it. I now only eat for about 1-3 hours of the day, so I’m fasting for 21-23 hours every day. (Drinking plenty of water, tea, and sometimes coffee during the fast period). This allows me to be so much more productive, with a stable energy level all day. Even my workouts have improved in toughness yet ease, and it’s very enjoyable to know I am already in ketosis as I do them, and will remain that way with 1000x increased HGH for several hours later before I eat. You can feel the nutrition in the smoothie that breaks the fast getting sucked up like a delicious pudding into every cell. Now to simply feel my wallet slurping up those crypto gains if I can apply the same patience (low time preference) to my research and waiting for the pumps!
