Instead of spending my time grinding on games and being active on social medias, i will use that time to learn more and use that knowledge to gain something.
I will spend more time on education which eventually could lead to an increased income. Short term ācurrencyā deficit for long term āmonetaryā gain.
I could add meditation to my life to clear my head and slow down my thoughts.
I can set a goal of 2 minutes per day to try to meditate. I hopefully will do more but no less. If I did this instead of saying things like, I donāt know how to meditate, etc. I would spend 2 minutes per day and in 60 days I will have meditated for at minimum of 2 hours.
If I could build up a regime when I go to sleep each and every day at 10 pm. It would improve my life significantly! Iāve been struggling with it a lot during the last years
I donāt consider myself a coffee addict, but I probably drink it too often and will usually think I need some before I begin working or studying; I donāt have the will power to quit drinking coffee completely, but I feel like the longer I wait to have a cup later in the morning the more of a positive effect I will get from it, so by upgrading my early coffee drinking habit, I will potentially increase my gratification from coffee in general, while also decreasing my dependency on it.
Yep ditch the TV, FB and excessive Youtube.
Lets do this!
I could stop eating junk food and go to the gym again.
I propose to do two 25 minute sessions (via my Tomato Timer) of study time, with a 5-minute break every day. The ultimate goal is to do eight 25 minute sessions a day. I will do an additional two to six if I feel motivated, but I will do at least two first thing in the morning, right after my two Church General Conference talks every morning. This is how I got in the habit of listening to at least two General Conference talks during my morning routine. Now it is a well-established habit.
getting alittle more sleep and goin to bed earlier so that the next day i can get up and be more productive.eating less and making healthier choices to have a better mind and body
For education/pleasure focus more on things that will produce some visible output at the end. For example instead of only reading coindesk/cointelegraph, include more Ivan on Tech Academy which is just as enjoyable and at the end you have a Cert!
I could refrain from looking at my phone directly after waking up, and instead starting my morning routine/doing something productive quicker. This would hopefully result in me being more motivated and productive after waking up, deterring the dopamine-boost of e.g. scrolling through social media, and freeing up some more some time.
I could learn how to play on music instruments instead spending time on social media and mems.
The Academy is a good example of the low time preference endeavour I have taken on⦠I work fulltime and own my own business (among other endeavours) so I am busy as it is. But through dedication and persistence I will complete my IoT Academy goals. The gratification of this study comes at the end when I find meaningful work and get to work on my own terms. I will finally be able to work remotely, and from home, to be able to spend more time with my children while they are young.
I could spend less time procrastinating about what I could do and spend more time on actually doing those things. Using IoT is just one example and now I look back I wish Iād got into Crypto a long time ago.
I could stop eating fast food, avoiding the instant gratification, and saving money to invest in more crypto (delayed gratification).
Delayed gratification has always been the center of my finances but not with my diet.
I tend to over eat after my exercises and having the fake feeling of being not as guilty because I worked out. This is something I know I need to change and have recently been replacing these urges with intermittent fasting.
I could stop looking at coin market cap or live charts for bitcoin and altcoins every chance I get. I could focus that energy into another activity to build learning skills or to benefit myself. I donāt have all that much stake in checking the charts so frequently as I donāt have many active trades and really donāt do much unless major moves are happening anyway.
I would propose a change in my bad habit of ordering in instead of getting my lazy butt off the couch and whipping up a meal with what I already have at home, potentially saving me hundreds if not thousands down the line
- I would most likely say my habit to overly want a regular routine. I feel that doing the same things week after week give me this instant gratification in a way that is comfortable to me. This can cause me to spend time on things that arenāt productive just to make sure that is within my ādaily routineā. I really want to work on not needing to have too much of an exact routine as this will make me mre adaptable in the long run. This will make me more ok with leaving non productive activities out of my daily routine and still be content with the way my day is going.
30 minutes at the beginning of the day and end of the day to learn something newā¦instead of extra 30 minutes of sleep or 30 minutes of tv before bed.
