I love pizza. Instead of ordering pizza, which I do a lot. I could make pizza from scratch, which I also love doing, but I don’t often take the time to do it.
I can setup a meal plan for myself which forces me to use set ingredients that I purchase beforehand. Buying once is key, this makes it less of a chance for me to get carried away buying other non-related items (unnecessary). I would have a budget for my meal preps and I have control of portioning which benefits my health as well. Although it’s easier to go out and buy food on the go, it’s not helping me in the long run.
Really good one here!
I have bad eating habit so I’m thinking about intermittent fasting. It should improve my health and act as a training of my willpower.
I could propose a change that instead of me waking up in the morning and going straight to my office to work. I wake up one hour early and do a little exercise so that in the long run I have sustained energy until I am old.
A change i could make from one of my habits is to stop procrastinating, when it comes to exercising, when it time to start i often push it further down the day, and end up not doing it or pushing it towards the next day, this behavior tends to spew out to other responsibility. pushing them out further in substitute for something more enjoyable does more harm, then doing whats less enjoyable that will benefit me in the long run.
Plan my day ahead everynight.
Structure work and play hours and abide by the progressive plan.
Respect my time a bit more to maximize my brain juice.
I love books however I read so much and I spend a lot on them So I propose for the next two months, to just read articles online, or re read my favorite books!
I could trade the time I spend scrolling my social media apps into studying something worthwhile and important like learning blockchain development.
try to eat more healthy and cooking by myself every day will help me to save some money and have better food habits and avoid fast food
If I take the time to make a schedule and stick to it I could reap the benefits of structured work over scattered/sporadic work.
I could always focus more on my relationship. If neglected it could damage the relationship and be very costly emotionally and financially.
Propose a change you could make to one of your habits, that would reduce your time preference from high (instant gratification) to low (delayed gratification) time preference. It could relate to any aspect of your life (financial, diet, exercise, relationships or education).
Instead of “treating myself” with expensive hotels and lavish dinners when on vacation, I should offset those costs by being happier with less material things, and focus on experience more than anything. Additionally, I have eliminated social media (Instagram and Facebook) to avoid instant gratification and pointless banter in exchange for time that can be used to acquire knowledge and truly reflect on what I really want in life. This is why I am part of this academy.
I propose to invest the extra income I make rather than putting it in the bank and then spending it on unnecessary things little by little. The lockdown gave me a lot of time to really get a good look at my current situation financially and what can be done to improve it at this time. Entering the academy was one of those decision of change. The education that I gain help make me a little bit smarter every day.
Build more discipline so that I can focus more on Family, Health and Education. This helps me to stay away from mindless consumption from distractions like video games, social media, and entertainment.
One of my bad habits is procrastinating. I need to make a schedule plan and keep to it many times I will put it to the side and I end up with a pile of things that need to be done.
I like learning through youtube video’s a lot and it’s really informative. However, since i’m technically educating myself on youtube, it’s hard to actually start studying for my study. So I should spend less time on youtube and more time on university, because this will benefit me in the long run.
I could get up earlier each day (4:30 or 5:00 to do some studying or reading). I should do it for this course actually
A way for me to trade in instant gratification would be to avoid eating takeout and cook more meals at home, saving both money and health over the long term.
I could stop using snus and spare about 150 $ each month. Then I can invest that money instead. I one year, I would be able to invest 1800 $
