Activity Lesson 2

When my income increases I tend to spend a lot more on food deliveries.
I could stop wasting my money on food deliveries, and go to the store every week once or twice with a precise plan. And I could also take 10 more minutes a week to create an efficient plan for the products I wish to buy, where I eat all the food that I buy and nothing goes to waste. Saving money, saving food, and eating healthier! bam :muscle:
While I’m writing this it sounds easy, but making it a habit is another thing. We all know that.

Unsubscribing from couple of YouTube channels the content of which mostly brings an instant gratification rather than the educational content I could be consuming to have a larger ā€œpay-outā€ in the future. For instance, investing that accumulated extra time to take more courses in this academy.

I have recently had to do this because of the times we live in right now. I made the decided to be more careful with my money, having more time with nothing to do and having money burning a hole in your pocket would usually be dangerous for instant gratification. I am a little bit better off but the money i have spent has been on educating myself further for the future.

i could stop eating fast food, and use that time to learn how to cook healthy meals. That way i will learn a skill that everyone should know, but also loose weight and also feel healthier and better about myself

Last year I removed social media apps from my mobile… I then set a schedule after the kids got to bed to study 2hrs a night. Not sure how many hours I’ve turned from social media time suck to furthering my education in Blockchain programming.

  1. keeping my room tidy all the time. I tend to let the mess just increase until it is unbearable and it results in a long 2 hour cleaning session. I could just take a few seconds of time to put something away which would benefit me in the long run. As I have a tidy environment and avoid the long cleanup.

Well, right now I am very frugal however in the past I would buy too many clothes ie I would buy a ball gown, a bikini in case I got invited to a ball or booked a holiday. Now I wait to see IF I get invited to a ball or can afford a holiday before I buy clothing for those eventualities. Although I earn more now, I spend less and don’t buy what I don’t immediately need. In terms of time wastage, I often do two hours really hard work then feel entitled to listen to one of my favourite YouTube channels for quite a while, when I could rather do more work.

One such change that I am currently in the process of making could potentially impact two areas of my life: education and finances. That change is joining the Ivan On Tech academy.

Foregoing my sleepy/slow-paced morning routine (spending too much time on social media, reading news, etc., at the start of the day), and applying that time to learn about the cryptocurrency space and the various programming languages it uses will deepen my level of education. Hopefully, it will also allow me to get directly involved and working in the industry.

It has been 1 1/2 years since I have not bought any new clothing, I am saving tons of money, giving a good use of what I already have, and most of all, I am helping the planet a bit…more than 2000 liters of water are used to process a stupid shirt…global warming in not just generated from fuels, but by all the consumerism & waste we generate.

Getting up an hour earlier every morning would have a huge impact on my life. A better sleeping routine overall would be nice. It’s so hard tho when the alarm goes off and all my body want to do is getting more sleep. I’m gonna practice this tomorrow…

I am trying to avoid sugary foods which I eat a lot. I have something sweet everyday so my goal is not to have anything sweet after 6pm (someones’s rule of thumb). I can then allow myself to eat my treats during the day whilst I’m active :wink:

I started to really reconsider how I was wasting money by poor time management at the beginning of the coronavirus lockdown. One way I was wasting money was by driving on toll roads, which provide a faster route. All I needed to do was manage my time better to save a $150 plus a month! A portion of these funds have been redirected towards my tuition at Ivan on Tech.

Several years ago, I gave away my tv and cut the cable. Not only have I saved a ton of money on cable bills, I’ve saved time, which I’ve reallocated to reading and studying, and protected myself from toxic propaganda.

I was once addicted to Starbucks coffee until I took note of how much I was spending every day. Now I make my coffee at home.

I cut my gym membership in 2019 after YEARS of having a gym membership!! I bought a few weights and workout at home now.

I would like to spend less on sodas, replace it with healthy water. Reduce the expenses rather then spending on things I don’t really need.

I need to address my sleep deprivation problem, instead of getting sleep at night late
It is better if I sleep early so that in the next day I’ll be more productive because
as of now if I don’t get enough sleep, the next day all day my body is so tired and I feel lazy
to do anything, in the end that what makes my whole day unproductive.
The reason its because I do more research late at night about everything that strikes my curiosity and any topics and issues that I am passionate about, reading different articles, books and watching video documentaries,
I need to balance everything create a schedule and discipline my self,
sometimes I also get addicted to playing mobile games,
again all of those habits I mentioned above needs to be change
to balance both my high and low time preference,
because even though my frequent habit of doing research makes me become a learned and knowledgeable man, but then all of those knowledge will never materialized if it will not be backed by action.
That is where I need my body to respond properly to the necessary action to make my day more productive.

Reduce the time spend on smart phone or tablet and channel those time save into self-learning, spend more quaLity time with family, exercise and planning a healthy diet.

I am using the pomodoro technique when studying, which keeps me focused and disconnected from social medias and procrastinating.

I really feel like I have made most of those change in my life the last few years. The one thing that haunts me is time management. Especially at my regular job while I’m out doing my deliveries I constantly want to listen to something to learn and educate myself. Unfortunately that slows me down getting my job done and also how much do I really learn since I’m so distracted by my job as well. What I need to do is focus on my job so I can get home and really focus on my learning.

I guess you can gratify your self whit thinks that doesn’t estore value in the future. Like having a new tv set, but when you tv is not broken. You can’t put the price of the tv in DeFi and when the old one break check all the extra gains you have just to wait.
