** The use of time is the best example to achieve establish habits, eliminate the excuse of not having time to achieve something, I like to have daily goals. I stay away from social media until I reach the goal for the day. **
I could avoid buying something in a store just to have it ASAP when I could wait a bit and get it online for cheaper
I am currently changing my time preference by committing my time to the academy and seeking an education in crypto, technology, and finance as it relates to this new field of digital currency, rather than just throwing some of my funds at some coins that seem popular and hoping that they will eventually pay out big. Thus, I am reducing my time preference from instant gratification to a delayed, hopefully more sustainable, profitable and gratifying course regarding crypto and investment.
clean my room like i should be doing and do some ivan on tech schooling everyday for my future career
I definitely had to reduce any kind of distraction during the day. I always had the TV running to have some kind of background noises when iām home but i realized that this made me concentrate way less on the topics i want to work on. So I started turning off the TV and my phone (at best) which was an easy and kinda small change but it really did sth for me.
I currently am, Going to bed earlier and waking up earlier, this allows me to come home earlier and make sure I get a chance to train; spend more time with my family and meal prep for a constant good eating plan. By doing this small change of actually shortening my day, Im feeling better, achieving more(getting a good dose of knowledge thanks to @ivan ), looking better and most of all smiling for longerā¦ I can feel my self smiling in the future
Dont trustā¦ Verify!
stop smoking could reduce my time preference from high to low.
Adding some fruit to my breakfast each day, or listening to an audiobook instead of the radio in the car could be nice ways to do something that will improve my health and mindset through daily action towards a greater future goal.
I donāt buy a bigger house, i donāt have a lot to pay to the bank every month (morgage) the difference i buy some crypto every monthā¦ let 's see if this works out fine in the long runā¦
Instead of buying stupid stuff like food and water. I could spend ALL of my income on crypto, especially when the price is low. But realistically speaking i could not buy stuff that i will ultimately not use in a few months and spend that money on silver and or crypto.
For the most part i do try to spend a few hundred each week on crypto, especially when the prices are being manipulated down. But more would never hurt.
Read 120 minutes a day and 1 book a week . That would increase your knowledge.
My scenario would be cooking at home versus eating out. Cooking at home is more beneficial in almost every single way. Except time.
I spend like 2 hours almost everyday, watching tv after finishing work. It seems like a fair trade after hard work long hours, relax a bit in tv. However I would rather trade one hour of tv, by one hour in the Ivan on tech academy. By investing my time in re-skilled and up-skilled, I will trade my long hours job for a another in the Blockchain industry with higher flexibility and maybe higher salary.
Propose a change you could make to one of your habits, that would reduce your time preference from high (instant gratification) to low (delayed gratification) time preference. It could relate to any aspect of your life (financial, diet, exercise, relationships or education).
Could improve overall productivity by going to sleep earlyer and get up early to complete tasks.
Waking up earlier to accomplish more during the day. Spending time on learning in academy will be my dalayed gratification.
COVID has shed the light on this proposal. Lock-down has halted all activities and camps etc that my children and I used to partake in. In the time spent at home, we have learned that the constant rushing to activities, and chasing our mad schedules is not an appealing way to spend life. We have learned that life is equally, or even more enjoyable in the post COVID world (with a much slower pace). We have already discussed that we will choose not to return to the hectic lifestyle. Instead we will play outside and enjoy the lack of formal schedule that had us trapped chasing our tails.
We choose to save money on after school program memberships, save money on gasoline getting to the activities and save the most precious assets of all - time and freedom.
1.) I could invest more in my exercise like I do my bags so I can enjoy using my bags when they moon. Itās never to late to get fit for an old athlete. Am I right! (Rhetorical)
Get up 30 mins earlier and dedicate it to learning something new and make it a habit.
Personally, exercising. I havenāt been exercising quite as much, and I can feel the difference its making. If I want to feel better in the long term, I should put my laziness aside and start exercising again!
