Hello,

My name is Nichanan (Nich) and I’m currently working as a technical recruiter/operations associate at a software consultancy in Bangkok. Prior to moving to Thailand a few months ago, I was recruiting engineers for a tech startup in San Francisco. I graduated from Berkeley last year with degrees in Neurobiology and Psychology.

Whilst in university I took a few computer science courses as well, learning some Python and Java, as well as concepts around data structures. I took a Udemy course on Swift 3 and did a side gig as a part-time iOS developer.

Having spent a few years around tech enthusiasts, and living in the Bay Area in general, I heard a little bit about Bitcoin but did not start doing proper research into blockchain technology until a few months ago. Ever since then I’ve been hooked!

I started making some investments in cryptocurrencies and have learned a lot about the space in the past few months (many thanks to Ivan’s channel). In this period, I’ve also decided to start writing about blockchain technology on my blog, with the goal to make it as simple as possible for non-technical folks. Moving forward I hope to grow as an investor in crypto as well as provide educational resources for the community who are interested in the space.

Here’s a link to my first blog post about Bitcoin: http://www.nichanank.com/blog/2017/8/12/bitcoin-explained-using-emojis …will also post in the Education thread

Looking forward to being a part of the community!

Hello, everyone!
My name is Kiril and I am from Sofia, Bulgaria. I am working as a product manager for some time now, but its not really my thing so Im trying to build some programming knowledge … and I want it even more since Ive got into Blockchain tech few months ago. Ive spent some reaaally small amount of money on Sia and NEM, because I liked the projects a lot, but they are going down hard so far (Good thing I could not invest more :stuck_out_tongue: ) Also got some TIE tokens from ties.network ICO, which is on going now. I am really into their project and would like Ivan to make a video on that some day. Aaand speaking about Ivan … I really love what you do! Ive been super pissed on the low quality of videos Ive encountered and the fact that they were mostly about the trading sucked. Until I finally found your channel and saw that you are talking also about the tech side of the Blockchain and its not overwhelming for people who are not programmers (hopefully Ill become one some day :stuck_out_tongue: )
Keep up the great work!
Best Regards!

Hi folks,

Mark here. Based in Scottsdale, AZ. My specific interest is in compliant ICOs and the infrastructure that makes them possible.

I think it’s crazy that most ICOs feel compelled to avoid US and other major jurisdictions when it is clear that compliance is a matter of doing it right. Compliance oughtn’t frighten us, it should help stabilize and mature the market and protect investors - all of you. There are thousands of compliant companies in the world, and ICO companies should not be held to any different standards IMHO.

I have recently began to keep a list of interesting stories at http://icomafia.org mostly for myself, but you are welcome to peruse it if you’d like. Think of it as a list of curated links.

My background is in tech and I have built and sold several companies over the years. I came across Ivan’s video on Iota and enjoyed it, so I joined this group. Keep up the good work @ivan

Nice to meet you all. Looking forward to some good conversations.

Mark.

Hello @traveliando, I lived in Dubai from 2010-2012. It was a great experience. I made a lot of International friends. Two years, for me at least, was enough and I took another job in Oman for a year. Back home now. Keep up the crypto. Doc

Hello @JDC, You and I have a lot in common. Same age, interests in crypto and about a month ahead of you in buying my first crypto, although I bought a Trezor, instead. My son graduated Cal Poly SLO with a computer and electronics degree and works for a computer company that sells storage options for big tech companies. My daughter, the creative one, got an art degree with an emphasis on 3D modeling and got a great job with Blizzard. I learned HTML when living overseas and designed websites with a business partner for several years, with some still online as well. I don’t do that anymore. Hope to see more of you in here. Doc

I have been been integrating existing technologies into new uses to address real world problems for most of my life so I just can’t stop wondering about the possibilities of the blockchain.

I am Rajesh from India. Been following Ivan in steemit and youtube. I like the way Ivan covers the tech side of crypto unlike others who are mostly covering the trade aspect. In a way, Ivan’s tech coverage had, in the past, inspired me to invest more time and money in this space!

It’s also interesting to note that this community website, started less than two weeks ago has seen so many folks signing up and with so many posts cropping up. Well done to the team maintaining this site! Crypto is here to stay.
