I’m Scott. Always have enjoyed learning about new and emerging tech. Blockchain is definitely pretty exciting and something brand new only as of a handful of years ago, so I’m trying to be on the cutting edge of something for once. I enjoy computers in general so would be great to learn more about how they work on a deeper level.
Hi, I’m David. I got into cryptos last summer and am taking the course to learn more about the technology. I live in western Nebraska in the U.S. and have been driving a truck off and on the last few years. Unless Trump pulls off a miracle, fiat currencies may come to an end. Cryptos may be the future. The new platforms like Ethereum and EOS should build economic opportunities in the future irregardless of the currency situation. The better I understand the technology, the easier it will be to take advantage of the opportunities including a new career path.
Hello everyone, my name is André and I’m from São Paulo, Brazil. I follow Ivan on Yt since last year and I am excited to learn (totally noobie) code. Hope contribute as well.
Wow Ivan, you have reached so many people from every part of the globe it seems! First I have to congratulate you on all your success, and thank you for providing such a wealth of knowledge. Your hard work is greatly appreciated. I am thrilled to be part of the blockchain ecosystem, these are exciting times!
My name is Rorey. I live in Overland Park, Kansas USA, but grew up in Newmarket, UK. I have many years experience with IT Project Management and have played around with various programming languages for about 3 years. I stumbled across your YT channel at the beginning of 2018 and have been hooked on everything Blockchain since. I’m eager to learn and plan to be an active participant throughout these courses.
Taking online courses are sometimes not a good fit for some people but the way you have structured the forums are so inviting and I believe you may bring out the introverts to actually enjoy being part of a community. /high five
I wish the best of luck to all my fellow students. Let’s do this!!!
Hey, my name is Dewy and I reside in southern California. I am an avid poker player and was pretty much forced to learn about crypto to keep up with the conversations at the tables. Once I started researching crypto, I was hooked. I am looking to change careers and I see a future in blockchain programming. I have no programming experience but I have a eagerness to learn. Good Luck to us all!
Hi! My name is Amine, i live in Montreal, Canada. I am new to blockchain and my i have a basic knowledge in html, css am here to learn cause i have 2 projects in my head. my background : marketing (seo) and my daily job is in real estate.
Thank you Ivan for all the stuff you are sharing!
Hello all!
I am a plugin developer with PHP and some JS skills… very excited to learn more JS, new coding, blockchain, smart contracts, dapps, etc. The other goal is to get my kids to do start the HTML basics
Thanks Ivan for your YouTube… it’s been a huge help! Very excited for the course!
Hi everyone! My name is Kev, and I’m from Canada. Thank you Ivan for creating this course. I’m very excited to learn. And btw Ivan, great youtube channel! I especially like how you are happy to invite and interview controversial figures and compose yourself in a courteous and rational manner to everyone. To me this shows character and quite impressed me.
Wow! such a diverse group of people from all around the globe. A big hello to everyone!
Hey guys I want to help decentralize the world with all of you and IVAN says blockchain developers are in high demand, hopefully we can all grow as a community and make intuitive dapps together
I’m Preston Cooper, no experience, other than elaborate online gaming macros that ran macros ect. I love what Blockchain can do for the poorest countries in the world. I just want to contribute to fighting financial exclusion. Appreciate the opportunity to be apart of this course. And Wish all the best!!
Hi Ivan and all!
I’m Ian and I’m in Melbourne, Australia.
I just started the Blockchain Programming Course today!
I have done (successfully – with high distinctions) a few programming assignments while at university a couple of decades ago (in Visual Basic, Javascript, PERL and COBOL), but I never subsequently got seriously into programming, although I would have like to, and I am definitely not fluent in programming languages. This is my chance to get a proper grasp on it.
Aside from this blockchain programming course, the other day I also started an online beginners’ tutorial on Haskel, because functional programming is fascinating, and because I would like to develop on the Cardano platform. However, I need to do Ivan’s course to give me a proper foundation in programming.
At university (1997-2000) it was actually a Bachelor of Commerce, but I did three majors (Electronic Commerce, Management Information Systems, and Economics). Being in the School of Business and Law, the actual programming was not, I believe, as technical as it would have been in the School of Computer Science, for those doing a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.
Having worked in technical support and network administration for decades I would like to join the ranks of people like Ivan, who are the true geeks. I have been more accurately an interface between ordinary “users” and the technical world that they don’t understand.
I was born right at the end of 1962, but I am much younger than my parents were when they were my age!
Hi everyone I am Miguel Alba, from Colombia but now I live and work as CTO in a startup in South Korea. I got into the blockchain world at the end of 2017, when was already inevitable to not know about it. I tried to learn some day trading and technical analysis but, I think it requires lots of dedication to a new field and having a full-time job is difficult to focus on that. Now, I decided to learn blockchain and find real business applications on it, where I see the real value is, not on the speculative value of the different coins.
I hope I can learn a lot and contribute to the community as much as I can!
Good luck to everyone!!
Hello,
Low here, I was introduced to bitcoin in 2012. Since than I have been extremely interested in the technology and I learned about blockchain technology almost everyday, I did Princeton university course on coursera for bitcoin and crypto which really helped to dig deeper into the technology… I have also been very much interested in cryptography, I have have been digging deeper into crytography. I also learned a lot from Ivan’s youtube channel.
I have always wanted to learn programming but I never had any goals for what to learn, Now after all these years of learning cryto currencies I want to actually write and build something.
I am hoping This course will help and I want to know and work with more people in the community.
Good luck and hope to make some friends in the field.
My Name is Lee. I am from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I have officially been in the Crypto space since August 2016, but have known about Bitcoin since its creation. (Wish I made the plunge sooner, but at least I finally joined!!).
I believe that one day BTC (Bitcoin) will be the underlying global currency of the planet, and that Crypto assets/currencies are Internet 3.0. We are on the ground floor of a revolution that will change EVERYTHING).
I used to take Computer science in the late 90’s but gave up on it as I thought it was too hard, I wish I would have stuck with it though it is something I regret. I am in my early 40’s and believe it is never too late to start learning new skills. So here I am. I have listened to Ivan on Tech’s YouTube channel since the very beginning last year and remember when he only had under 1000 followers on YouTube. I knew he had something special and have not missed a stream from his channel since. Thanks for what you do Ivan you are a true blessing to this space.
Hello Ivan.
My name is Lionell .
I live in the US (Westchester NY) and work as a Technology Engineer w/ other developers for Domain 2.0, Software Defined Networks and Cloud Computing; this for a global telecommunications company. My computer background / experience level is mostly in networks, systems, technology integration and infrastructure; also some security i.e ACS Tacacs AAA.
In addition, I am a performing artist, (and play Electric six string Guitar), as well as make music recordings in the studio for various other musicians and song writers / singers; this P/T. Music and entertainment is my more creative side; therapeutic. However, I always try to strike a balance between lifestyle, family-health-fitness and spirituality. I also like helping and sharing information with others; to help another succeed.
I have always wanted to learn how to program but could never find a drive. However, I am very intrigued by blockchain and believe now is the perfect time. This new passion for blockchain technology will act as the catalyst, to help me become a coder / programmer, in blockchain.
Again, thank you Ivan, for always finding the time to give back, teach / train and share with others, your blockchain experience.
Regards.
Lionell J
Hello!
I’m Max, I have very little experience in programming, only with Mathlab when I studied Economics.
I am very eager to learn about smart contracts, blockchain, and all topics in the course.
I live in Guadalajara Mexico and I’m very active in the Mexican blockchain community. We have constant meet-ups with traders, coders, content creators and enthusiasts. We are working together in a very interesting biotech project and this course is a great way to steer us in the right direction.
I would love contribute and to meet a lot of people in this community and if there is a way of collaborating, that would be great!
I’ll see you guys around, good luck to everyone!!
Hi,
I am sreenivas and live in Sunnyvale, California, USA.
I love programming and working as learning & developing from last 15 years.
I like hiking and swimming.
am following Ivan on tech channel from last 3 months and he is doing great job by educating us in blockchain field.
/Sreenivas.
By the way. When I started university I was already in my mid thirties, nearly twice the age of the kids coming straight out of school. I generally got high distinctions in assignments while the young ones still did not understand what they were studying. On the other hand, in the Law course, it was way not logical, compared to IT. I got a pretty average result for that! In economics, another of my majors, I did well also, as I actually read the classic literature that others always felt themselves too busy to read, where they only read books that quoted from the fundamental texts.
This year I have virtually done nothing but study the blockchain industry!
My name is Mike. I live in St. Louis, MO.
I have been dabbling in coding for a little over six months.
I want to dedicate the next year to becoming proficient and making connections.
Glad to be here.
