Hi everyone!

My name is Sheree; I am currently a practicing solicitor in the UK and an attorney in Jamaica, who after spending several years in the legal profession, has decided to take active steps towards a change of career into the amazing world of blockchain technology. My interest in this phenomenon has grown further to investing in the world of forex and crypto currency for some time; so I am looking forward to “re-skilling and up-skilling” as Ivan put it in the introductory webinar that brought me here!

Thank you Ivan and the whole team for this opportunity - I am looking forward to learning all I need to know in this academy to successfully transition from a lawyer to a blockchain developer (and using my legal background and creative ability to make a real impact). Also looking forward to connecting with some fellow students as we become the change we wish to see in the world!

I did my first web page -super basic BUT I am so excited. Amazing course.
I was reluctant to take on a new course of studies being in my 50s and having studied so many different things in my past, feeling like ‘ugh should I try this?’

I started taking the academy in the hopes of launching a crypto startup because I believe that blockchain has the power of solving many problems and I have ideas of my own. Really before the academy i thought buying coins was the most I could do my ideas of starting my own cryptocurrency seemed outlandish but after finding the academy, my dreams didnt seem that far off. Hi everyone. My name is Simon and i live in Småland/Sweden. Im in my late 20s.
I have been trading for a while but have not understood crypto so well. This year i started reading alot about it and started to watch Ivan on LBRY. After seeing he showed the nr 1 most demanded job was crypto knowledge then i thought about this education for a while, now im happy i joined and payed for the proffessional plan, its so much in there like programming video games and c++ which is priceless and a bargain compared to other goverment educations.

Otherwise im intressted in privacy and security so if someone wants to talk or do something with it you can write to me.
Im also abit intressted in politics.

I know some friends thats into crypto, but its not that many and i want more since i belive it will be breakthrew short/mid and longterm. If you feel or think of anything write a message and ill respond when appropiate.

Hi all,

In 2015 a techy friend introduced my to Bitcoin and other alts as an investment opportunity. I jumped aboard without understanding a bit, and spent quite some time learning how to trade - just getting money into the exchanges was a struggle. I gained some, I lost some, and I missed to sell before the big crash.

Over time I have started to see the benefit it would give in short-cutting the financial system, and “free the people” from the banksters. That was a completely new angle which gave so much more meaning to the phenomena - block-chain.

Now I decided to change my career and quit my job. I have an itch to learn more about block-chain and its possibilities. It´s getting into some kind of obsession, which might be bad or very good.

Anyway, I would like to work in this area and cannot wait to fill my brain with everything available here.

I have been in the tech industry my whole career and have founded 4 start-ups, the latest one in the cryptography area, but not related to block-chain - yet. Perhaps I can give advise on start-ups, perhaps on IoT business.

And if my dreams come true, I will be working with block-chain within 3 months.

I am actually studying at Wharton University in parallel; “Fintech Revolution: Transformative Financial Services and Strategies”. A LOT of bank people in that course!

I think that a critical mistake people make is to you minimize the application of Blockchain to merely deFi. Its application stems far deeper to education, healthcare, Business supply chain efficiency, storing of records, etc. Our application is in healthcare, we are constructing a dApp that will offer a “Plant as Medicine” global digital apothecary fortified by the Blockchain. We also strive to create an Alternative Medicine telehealth directory that propagates true health. I love learning Solidity because its application in our course applies directly to a supply chain. I also have some experience with Python, the first project I constructed was the storing of the plants in a JSON file and the storing of facts that will showcased on our site. Would love to collaborate with other aspiring developers that are interested in the project.

@AndyEken, welcome to the IoT Academy. Today is going to be my first week that I joined IoT and I can assure you that I have learned so much within the last week. Unlike you, I have never traded(crypto, stocks, commodity etc) in my 50+ years. To be realistic I always thought it was like high stake poker, but since I started researching Crypto Trading on Binance Futures over the last 5 months, i’m beginning to change my mind. Currently I have a CyberTech startup i’m finishing up the Business Plan for, and I believe with your experience in startups and of cause you studying at “Wharton School of Finance”, your support and advice for my startup would be greatly appreciated.
