Hi everyone,

I’m Ben, based in the UK. I currently work full time in digital marketing (specifically SEO) and would love to take those skills into crypto.

In the short to mid-term I want a better understanding of the underlying technology to be able to inform investment decisions and help port my skills into the industry. Longer term I want to move into programming blockchain, be able to build trading bots and identify business opportunities.

Very excited to be here!

Hi everyone!

My journey with crypto began in 2020 shortly after completing my bachelors in Electrical/Biomedical Engineering unemployed. I used to work in the power industry but I didn’t find myself excited with the work I was doing… so I decided to try looking for work as a Software developer.

Soon enough I stumbled upon crypto. Loved everything it stood for: The intricate technologies, disrupting the current centralized monetary system, and overall just being a force for good.

Currently I’m an entrepreneur/fullstack developer at my the education startup and doing some side hustles with software dev contract work and tutoring. I like reading, working out, walking/biking, and good vibes. Looking forward to learning here, working on some cool projects, and meeting awesome people interested in the crypto industry too

Hi!

My name is Mateusz, 30 and I’m from Poland.

I started the courses because I want to learn new things about crypto from developer’s perspective.
Currently I’m a frontend developer and I have been one for at least 10 years.
It’s getting a little boring so I want to get some new skills and new perspective to improve as a developer and maybe land a blockchain job in the future and do some more exciting stuff that can actually change the world.

Thanks very much to Ivan for organizing this community and thanks to all of you for contributing on this forum!

Hi all, I’m Dennis. Really pleased to join the Academy!

I’m 46 years old, proud father of 3 sons and I live in Hilvarenbeek, The Netherlands. I’m new to the crypto space, only since last December and since then spending a lot of my spare time on this topic and in fact it’s mindblowing.

My main goal for 2021 is to take back control over my own destiny by going full time crypto in & much more enjoy life more.
I’m a CFO/VP Finance, >25 years professional experience, with focus on high-tech startups/scale ups. Allround in Finance, accounting, fundraising, M&A, Audit (big4), tax, legal, HR.

I’m really looking forward to this course and to find out how it can change my life.

Kind regards,
Dennis

Super awesome goal!! What are your favorite alt coins?

My favorite altcoins are the following.
Keep in mind that these are just my personal opinions and that I’m not a financial advisor.
Do always your own research and evaluations before investing in cryptos.

  1. Ethereum -> I think that ethereum will lead this bullrun together with bitcoin due to exceptional
interest that institutionals investors are showing about it and also because the
majority of altcoins work on ethereum’s network.

  2. Cardano -> I think that cardano will develop a lot of its potential this year and will definitely get
a big slice of this bullrun cake as the most important alternative to ethereum.

  3. Polkadot -> This coin in my opinion is pure dynamite. Unlike cardano it doesn’t mean to replace
ethereum on the long run, but it aims to work in armony with it.
Since december polkadot has already seen a massive growth, but I think it’s just the
    beginning.

  4. Chainlink -> 2021 will see DEFI exploding. Chainlink, at the moment, is the biggest oracle coin
around and it’s the required bridge through which the new decentralized finance
will connect to the traditional finance.

  5. Syntetix -> There are several DEFI coins out there that will definitely shine during this bullmarket.
In my opinion syntetix is the one with the most potential.

  6. Vechain -> These will be in my opinion the best coin of 2021 for supply chain tracking.

Been trading for about the same length of time and have done fair so far while I’ve tried to get as much info on the market as possible. As I see my retirement day from my day job looming larger on the horizon I too seek financial independence and see crypto as a big piece in my portfolio.

I’m on the same boat you’re on! As I see 59 rapidly closing I’m seriously looking at how long can I continue at the pace I’m at in running and working my construction business. After observing and a conversation with one of my children who is big into crypto it didn’t take long to realize it needed to be included into my exit strategy!

Hi everyone,

My name is Duncan and I am self-employed as an IT consultant and full-stack web developer in Ottawa, Canada. I started my career in tech over 40 years ago and now looking to learn more about blockchain and crypto investing. I joined the academy because it looks very well organized and will help me to learn quickly with up-to-date information.

I start every day at 4am, so will use the first 1-2 hours for study, except it will be hard to compete with Ivan’s Good Morning Crypto show, which I enjoy thoroughly. So we’ll see how this goes. After that, it’s a busy day with contract work.
