Hello Everyone! I’m Alex and I’m new to the crypto space, interested in learning more and hopefully create my own project. I like to spend my time in nature when I’m not on my computer learning about blockchain technology. I look forward to learning from you all and getting to be more involved in the community!

Howz it goin, I’m Ish, just your average joe. Been in crypto since the peak of 2017 then went dormant during the bearish 2018. I stumbled on Ivan during 2019 and was amazed of his story.
Anyway I love Bitcoin not so much Ethereum because of its fees lol, but I do like how it has smart-contracts. I want to learn all I can about crypto. I hear this is the place to be. Oh, I love rugby union, rugby league, soccer, basketball and pretty much all sports… Les Go…

Hi Ivan, my name is Shakeel and I’ve had an interest in crypto for a year or so, wish I had bought a Bitcoin at that time. I have been running my own corporate chauffeur business in the U.K. for the last 17 years and with recent global events, I have decided to change direction and get into Blockchain development. I have taken up your amazing offer today and I’m really looking forward to learning new skills. I’m hoping to achieve a good level of success so that I can provide for my family and hopefully buy myself plenty of time to do the things I love with the people I love. I’m truly inspired by the content you put out there and by the advice you give.

Hey guys,
I’m Andy, 30, from Ulm, Germany and came to crypto space in 2017 and I’ve been following Ivan on Youtube since 2018. Since then I’ve been keeping up with BTC and the general news in the crypto space via newsletters, podcasts and youtube (good morning crypto - shoutout to bigboy pants  … I love Ivan’s personality and humour, Pomp, Altcoin Daily , MMCrypto etc.), various sites, social media and I also signed up to a mastermind group in summer this year. To dig deeper into the technical background and to be informed about current developments I have decided to join the blockchain academy 3 weeks ago and already finished Blockchain and Bitcoin 101 course but didn’t use the forum yet. I look forward to the exchange with you and to new exciting ideas, contacts and possibly one or the other friendship that can develop from it.

I am working as a product manager for the leading German hospital service provider and also see a lot of potential for blockchain in this field.
Besides the crypto space I basically follow the whole economy and the markets, I am also interested in real estate and stocks.
Otherwise, in my free time I am very interested in basketball and often on the basketball court. I generally do a lot of sports, like to travel and personally develop myself in all kinds of areas

Looking forward to you and the exchange with each other!

Hi people!

I am Joaquín, 37, from Santiago de Chile. I am software engineer, with 15 years of experience designing and programming web and mobile apps, mostly for Startups.I also worked 3 years as Game Economy Designer for F2P games, something that taught me a lot about how a broken monetary system can impair players’ experience, how to generate incentives to make people collaborate or became individualist, and how fixing the economy increases engagement and trust between the community.
I joined the Academy because I want to create my own startup. My goal is to enable people to pilot their ideas in a mobile/web environment, monitor their progress using analytics, polish their business models to became competitive globally, and not only locally. In order to achieve that, I believe Smart Contracts and Crypto are the perfect match for my idea, since it reduces the friction to enter any of the platforms we build (as Smart Contracts will deal with trust issues, and Cryptos as they will increase the reach of any project, as few people in my region has access to a credit card in USD, or even a bank account).
I am totally passionate about football. Other strong interests are games, economy and education. I love data and facts, but they only have sense when you understand human nature, that’s why it is so important for me to interact with people and build teams, as you learn from different cultures and perspectives.

Hi, my name is Jeremy Matott! I live in East Aurora, NY which is a small-town south of Buffalo, NY with my son and two terriers. I have been working as a software engineer since graduating from Clarkson University in 1995. I have worked on a variety of projects in the civil aerospace, defense, and medical device industries.

Around 2006 I started to get interested in stocks and finance. I recall vividly listening to the great financial crisis unfold day after day in 2008. I was introduced to bitcoin when listening to the Security Now podcast with Leo Laporte and Steve Gibson somewhere around 2014. Steve had mentioned that he had mined some bitcoin early on and they discussed the project in some detail.
I read Satoshi’s whitepaper and was so excited to tell my wife and co-workers because I genuinely believed it was going to change the world. Not surprisingly my enthusiasm was met with doubt and ridicule. I secretly setup some USB ANT Miners on a raspberry in the basement and started mining bitcoin.

I did that for about a half a year and then started looking for ways to buy bitcoin when I found Coinbase and finally got my wife to agree to let me buy a small amount periodically on the exchange. I continued to buy for a few years until my wife was diagnosed with cancer, so I understandably lost track of the cryptocurrency scene.

Sadly, she died in 2018 and I found myself picking up my old interests once again. I discovered Ethereum and began buying Ether regularly. After the events of the past year over the summer I made the decision to remove myself from the corrupt central banking system as much as possible and fully invest in cryptocurrency and defi projects.

I hope to enhance my skills as a software engineer through what I learn in this course and either start my own project or be able to work on one of the many an exciting project that are happening in this space.

Hello All!
My name is Victor Santana, I’m a Journeyman Electrician from San Diego California and I, like so many people, have only started to scratch the surface of what crypto is and what it can do in only the last few months. I’m super excited to be able to deep dive into these topics for a more enriched understanding. I’m very thankful that such a resource exists for people with the most novice understanding to be able to grow and develop in what seems to be one of the most promising emerging professions today. Cheers and i’ll see you guys around!
