Introduce yourself

Hi Everyone,
My name is Iain and I’m from Australia. Always been interested in bitcoin/crypto since I first heard about it many a year ago. Now I am trying to up skill and learn how to code for the future

Previously have been an Electrician, then onto sales for a multinational fmcg company and also a bureaucrat  which were all successful but never truly my passion like crpyto.

Still at the early stages of learning to code but after watching Ivan for years his courses instantly appealed to me and doing the #learntocode meme

Hope to learn with and help the community.

Hello to all.
My name is Claudiu and i’m from Romania.
Working outside of blockchain space for over 5 years and it haunts me for some years to get involved more in this space.
I know about bitcoin from 2014, but I was to young then to get a loan to get into mining at that time.
In 2016-2017 I got back into blockchain and in 2017 september I wanted to get into a project in oder to help grow and grow my reputation also. The coin I thought that was “dead” so it should have been perfect to make something great from nothing. The coin was already listed and this was kind of the reason why I choose this path ( at that time the prices to get listed a coin got insane ). The project was revendicated by a guy that had access to the github code, so after months of making plans and changes and lot of discussions with him, refused to take the project a step further and in the end I also lost my entire interest ( somehow got burnout and I thought that I can’t do something in this space as I didn’t have money to invest in listings and promotions ).
I’m watching the blockchain space from that time and trying to take the courage to get back into this space as it follows some principles that I fully support ( naming freedom of speech, privacy, anonymity and distribution of power). There are a lot of examples on how governments or monopolies in the end are doing just what is best for them so will not get into this things.
Currently i’m working as a software engineer as this was my dream job ( the mind of a person that didn’t knew much about the world in which he’s leaving in ). But after changing few companies it accentuate the idea that even i love to code i don’t find myself comfortable in doing what today we call programming. In the mean time I discovered that what I actually love doing is to solve problems that have big impact on the world.
So my main objective would be to be able to help change the world at the magnitude of what Musk aspire on. Many people would tell you that it’s impossible but to be honest I believe that nothing is impossible ( for example changing our views to a quantum level would not even believe how the world actually works and we would say that it’s impossible or we are dreaming ).
For some time I tried to find close friends that I trust in order to start doing more in this space working as a team, but without success as many people and actually developers don’t quite get the idea behind why Satoshi actually built bitcoin or they are afraid that the governments will come after them as regulations are changing like clothes. But also i guess I have an issue also to offer trust easier to other people … at least until they prove otherwise.
For the moment I will concentrate myself in getting familiar again with development on this space in the mean time to try to meet new people, maybe also continuing doing some projects around some good ideas.
One thing that I could want some input is around developing projects around DFINITY blockchain that currently is not yet released. The entire idea is amazing but they are acting a little bit on the shadow i guess until the mainnet happens. I would appreciate some thoughts from other people or even @ivan
Glad to be part of this community.

Hi I’m Luke. I’m currently living in Melbourne. I’m passionate about the future, technology and human potential. I believe we are at the fork in the road that will determine the thriving of our species or the end of it. I want to participate in the nudging of society towards the path of surthrival (survive/thrive) and balance with our natural environment.

I became interested in bitcoin in 2014 but didn’t get involved until 2016 when I was stuck in India during the demonetization crisis. Bitcoin opened my eyes to the future and ethereum opened my eyes to how I could be a part of building that future.

I believe in a future without borders, finance without printers and more sustainable systems that benefit the many, not the few. The past few years I’ve been working on my business AppZaloot and trying to find the right approach to make a difference in how we use social media.

AppZaloot is a new social media mobile platform (live on the app stores) focusing on re-connecting users to their local communities online and offline. Using geo-location technology, users set their radius and connect with users/businesses/events within their set location.

I am creating a token economy within AppZaloot to integrate with our global loyalty cashback program as well as rewarding users for various in-app actions and funding local community projects selected by the AppZaloot users. I am here to learn as much as I can in the industry and looking for any help I can get in launching our token pre-sale and further blockchain development.

Hello everyone. Like many I feel down the crypto rabbit hole a few years ago. Have done my share of trading, mining, and research. Next on my list is to throw myself into blockchain programming. I’ve been involved in website development, SEO, and website building over the years, but building with very basic CMS (WP, Jekyll) and such. I have tons of ideas, but lack the skills to implement some of the things I would like to get done. Since finding crypto, nothing else is as exciting and I have a few ideas for crypto projects as well.

Aside form that, I have been listening to Ivan nearly every morning for the past few months, so figured this would be a good place to start!

Hello all! My name is Taylor and I’m based in Austin, TX, USA. I’ve been a btc hodler since 2013 and I’ve recently been inspired to create a startup that will bring blockchain technology to the food supply chains in america. Covid-19 exposed some major holes in our current supply chains as well as exposing how unhealthy we are as a society. The platform that I am aiming to create will forever change the way we view food and how we get it. I’m currently looking for partners globally and locally around Austin Texas, message me if your interested in connecting!

Hi Ivan and Everyone! Calvin here. I am a complete newbie to the Blockchain/Crypto World! I know absolutely none, zero!!! Desperately seeking to learn to become a Blockchain Developer and to learn to invest wisely in Crypto as well. Please help? Thank you, everyone. *Side-note: Back in 2011, my brother told me about Bitcoin and told me to invest in it and/or to learn more about it. Being ignorant, I dismissed it and never followed through with it. I want to shoot myself for being such idiotic!!!

Hi everyone! My name is Ben and I have been super curious about cryptocurrencies for the past year. Now I am excited to get more serious and do the courses here on the academy! Like, Ivan has said in his videos, I look forward to feeling like I’m able to do “magic” once I know how to program and write useful code. When he explained it like this it clicked with me and got me excited.

I am from USA but for many years I have lived abroad in places like Guatemala, South Korea, and Kenya. I have worked as an IB elementary school teacher and enjoy that work but I am also super curious about working as a blockchain developer.

For fun, I love long-distance running and playing ukulele and guitar. I am also passionate about speaking other languages like Spanish, French, and Swahili.

Thanks so much to Ivan and his team for making this nice learning community!
