Hi My names Vincent,I work as a full time concierge on the upper west side of Manhattan, born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. I am a single dad, On a 4-12 am work schedule which isn’t the best shift raising a 12 year alone much less even having normal hours with him. During my crypto investment journey down the rabbit hole @ my computer until 5am after work day after day. i realized this is a field i would enjoy working in & prior to crypto i explored code academy entertaining the thought of being a coder an now my interest in bitcoin & blockchain led me right back to learning how to program,so here i am. The potential of being able to build things to help advance our world & teach others such skill set to me is a gift that keeps on giving, not to mention the flexibility to work remotely and be around to be a dad. I am also a Big fan & investor of Tesla,EOS.io,Bitcoin & Tulsa Real estate fund.
Hi
My name is Fredrik and I live in the northern part of sweden where I currently studying a university program about digital service development. I have always had a huge exitment about the cryptofield but never really taken a deep dive into the area more than consuming alot of fragmentet information about it without ever using it for anything. I want to change that today and go through a couple of the courses in the academy to see where it takes me.
Besides crypto I have a big interest in programming and reading books. I am usually not that active on forums online and hope to change that from today so that I can connect with alot of likeminded people. I am here to push myself both in the way of getting new knowledge from the academy courses and interact with the community.
Hey guys
My name is Marius, i was born in Romania and currently live in Atlanta Georgia US. I’ve mainly worked in hotels my entire life, and i have been looking for a different career/direction to focus my life on. Pumped for this new chapter!
Let’s go!
Hey my name is Johan i’m 18 and I live in the Faroe Islands i’m a complete blockchain newbie but the courses have been great, very easy to understand and interpret and i’ve learned so much more during the last couple of days…
Hello my name is Nick and I live in Salt Lake City . I am a mechanical engineer who does project engineering work for heavy machinery customers. Around March I became really interested in cryptocurrency and started watching @ivan’s “Good Morning Crypto” daily.
At first I was just interested in learning enough to invest in crypto, but Ivan’s excitement has rubbed off on me and I’m looking into working in the crypto space. The last real programming I did was using FORTRAN in college to solve physics and engineering problems, so I am probably basically starting from scratch but am looking forward to the journey!
I have 3 kids under the age of 4 years old, so most of my time outside of work is devoted to chasing them around. My ultimate goal is to gain financial independence for my family (that is not tied to a job) and to be part of something really revolutionary; and I think DeFi fits that bill.
I look forward to meeting many of you!
Thanks. That means you are more likely to succeed. You have the example!

Hi Hector,
Thanks for the welcome! The kinds words are appreciated, and yes we are early adopters which is exciting. The entrepreneur lifestyle isn’t for everyone, perseverance is key…I’m always open to having constructive chats on innovation. Wish you all the best on your path as well : )
Hello world! My name is Tyrone Post. I’m a United States combat veteran (5 years Navy as a nuclear electrician, and 5 years Army as a helicopter mechanic), a father, and a published musician (on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and all other major streaming platforms). I have big plans: I will stay focused, I will work hard, I will be successful, and I will change the world. I am currently studying to be an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) technologist, but I want to write my own programs for recreational use, and potentially write programs for healthcare and business.
Hi Everybody. My name is Darren, I was around when the very first home computer came out. I was 10 back in 1980. A friend of mine bought a Sinclair ZX80. So for me at 10, I thought it was amazing. For the next 5 - 6 years, I witnessed the explosion of home computing. All my friends had every flavour of home computer. I had a Commodore VIC20. I remember cycling with my friend to the news agent once a month to buy Computer and Video games magazine, because each month, there was a new computer game released. We used to sit there for hours typing in 1’s and 0’s (and no ability to save what you had typed in) to compile a game that you could play. For whatever reason, at the time it was amazing to us. Eventually, at the age of 19, after spending 2 years or so (at ITec) learning Z80 machine language, Pascal, Cobol, and BASIC, and a ream of IT courses that were meant to ready for a career in IT. I sat a test with Ferranti https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferranti Had I passed, I would be a programmer today. Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be. My career path went down the route of IT Operations and Support. That began with AS400 operations, followed by IT Support. And today I am an IT Manager working for a secondary school.
The journey that has brought me to this point began when I stumbled upon a Ted Talk by Don Tapscott a couple of years ago. This is the talk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pl8OlkkwRpc. After I watched this video, apart from being utterly blown away by it, I also realised what the heck Max Keiser kept going on about every so often when I was flicking through that TV channels before going to work in the morning. Had I realised at the time, I could have made a fortune.
Over the last couple of years, I have been watching a group of YouTube channels and taking it all in. And I feel like a veil has been pulled aside revealing some incredible truths about what is going on in this world. It’s truly mind blowing. I have many different coins and many different wallets. And now the latest thing being Defi is just amazing. I have also learnt about economics and historical events related to money. I started to question what money really is and why does it have value. One of the biggest eye openers for me was learning about the Nixon Shock. And more recently, the Federal Reserve and what’s going on today.
Another thing that I’m sure most of you have come across, is the sense of isolation. All I want to do is share what I know. But when I do, I often get a blank look. I have even been told that I am living in a fantasy world and that I am brainwashed. Ironically, I feel as though the whole world has een brainwashed regarding the dollar. Despite this, it’s actually ok. Because this means I have an unfair advantage, as Ivan says. I interviewed somebody some months ago. I was asked to interview him to see if he was the real deal in terms of what he says he know. The role was for head of ICT and digital learning. He told me that he had been a developer and was familiar with Linux etc. So I asked him if he new about Blockchain technology. He told me yes he knew about it. So I asked for his view on Bitcoin. He replied that he didn’t believe in any of it and that all it is, is just a very large database. He also told me that inappropriate material was stored on the blockchain and that by participating in the network, I was facilitating this. He said it will be shut down. So there you go. This is what we have to deal with.
What I intend to achieve here, is not fully clear to me right now. All I know is that there is huge potential and opportunity. As I go, I will find out. This really depends on what I learn and what I discuss with the mentors and this forum. I have an adoption idea in mind that there appears to be a possible market for. Or I might just find that doing some development is the way forward for me. Let’s see what plays out. It’s exciting!
Hi Everyone,
I my name is Joseph. I was a manager for two restaurants but with what’s all going on I am unable to find work. I previously did take a coding boot camp a few years ago but I honestly don’t remember much. Having worked in restaurant hospitality kept me out the loop of pretty much everything go on outside of the industry. I plan on diving in and lets help each other succeed.
Welcome ! You will love this Academy ! Hope you find it amazing .
Awesome man !! 3 kids under 4 ? Wow lol Hope you find what hot need so you get that extra time with those kids. I have 3 under 10 . I’m in San Diego so we are basically neighbors . Ha good luck !
Hello Ivan,
I am an ideas person for a company that hasn’t been invented yet. I am an arts major and I am a member of a two speakers clubs where I am doing a presentation mastery program and learning public speaking. Now we are in lockdown so we are all learning how to do video confrencing. I am a .com owner and I want to develop a number of domains into ICO’s and crypto. I am doing the Ivan on Tech courses to provide me with the skills to actualise my concepts and business ideas, to network with other enthusiasts, and to become better able to communicate with others on crypto and blockchain technologies.
When I am working through the Ivan on Tech modules I find that I am curious about how interesting it is, because it is counter-intuitive to who I perceive myself to be as an artist, painter and author, but I seem to be sticking with the commitment, and I keep coming back because I have a long-term goal in mind, and I want to BUILD something.
Hello Tyrone and welcome to the academy. Your the 10th person I know with a background in Nuclear electricity. Not everyone have earn that credential. I have friends that work at 2 Nuclear plants near my residence. I’m used to wearing Radiation Dosage badge, as I have done work at the plant myself. I set up emergency generators that provide back up power to the reactor controls. Let’s just say I was sweating a lot and I wasn’t near the reactor chamber. Lol. Anyways goodluck on the academy.

Hi everyone! Happy to be here and to meet you. I’m super curious about the blockchain and can only imagine the potential it has as a transformative technology. Excited to be here where it’s all happening.
I currently work in data science and analytics so I have some basic coding/programming skills and pretty good understanding of databases which I am hoping will help me here.
I completed the Oxford Blockchain Strategy Programme a couple years ago (shout if you’ve done this course too!). It was a great introduction from a high level but I’m eager to start learning about how it all works on the back end and how to start building things myself.
