Hello everyone and Ivan. I am a CPA and currently work as a tax manager at a mid-size firm in Wisconsin. I am actually the lead for my firm’s (small and very new) crypto tax team, and I have been following the industry since 2017. Why am I here? As Ivan always says on his streams, I want to go full-time crypto in 2020. I am also fascinated by economics and understanding economic cycles, all of which mesh greatly.
While I am very fortunate to be able to work from home in my current role as a tax manager at a CPA firm, my goal is to take my skills that I’ve acquired working in public accounting and transition into blockchain consulting for businesses. After months of thinking about joining Academy, tax season has finally slowed down enough for me to have some time for this.
Also, if anyone has any questions / needs help on tax-related matters, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Hi, I’m new here also. I started with Defi and was told I should take Bitcoin Basics first so I stopped and will complete Bitcoin Basics this week. When I complete Bitcoin, I will go back to Defi. I think you will be fine to start the Defi class. I wish you the best.

Hello friends, my name is Chris and I live in Indianapolis IN with my fiancé and our one-year-old son. I own a custodial service, and though we’ve lost a substantial amount of revenue during this global pandemic, we are still very fortunate to have a team carrying out essential work disinfecting schools. While in quarantine I’ve been taking advantage of all the downtime by deepening my obsession with crypto and Tesla, and staving off dad bod as best I can by getting daily workouts in the basement. Super stoked to join this group and contribute to the community!

Hi, I’m Ken I have been a machine/road train driver operator most of my life originally from England leaving there in 1974 (for Australia) mid way thru doing my high school leaving exams. Now 61 with a young mind and wife lol I’m looking for an office job that pays decent money. I remember starting computer programming on my Commodore 64 many years ago and thinking this is great but going no further because of 16hr days working. Nows my chance to try again, hoping to pass on my knowledge to my wife and Siblings (11 yr old) wife has a diploma in IT. Ken, West Australia

I am Serge, live in the UK of an Armenian origin grew up in Sudan.
I am excited to start the course(s), and be part of the Blockchain revolution, I have been reading and keeping an eye on bitcoin since 2013, I understand and appreciate the changes blockchain is bringing and will bring.
I have been watching tons of You Tube videos, and I can say Ivan you woke me up to do something. So your passion is infectious, excuse the punt. Here I am going for it.
My background is in business enterprises, finance and startups. As I am passionate believer in blockchain, my aim is to introduce and spread the word of this new sovereign and liberating system called the blockchain. In addition my goal is apply my plans for a startup, therefore I need the knowledge to help me advance.
I chose Ivan on Tech Academy to take me to the next step, hence the excitement.

My name is Michael! I am an American irrigation technician and CEO of my own 3d printing company who lives near Washington DC.
I got interested in crypto back before the bull of 2017. I bought my first amount of bitcoin in 2017, and watched and hodl from 2500$ to 20k, and have been hodling ever since. Been watching ivan since then.
I love bitcoin and crypto because of the exposure to the many aspects of important topics and industries that run in parallel with the crypto ecosystem. After learning about bitcoin, i realized i needed to understand basic computer science so i could understand what bitcoin was at a basic level. So with no prior knowledge and a couple youtube videos i built a computer and installed a linux mint os. I taught myself to use virtual machines, operating at the command line, and setting up partitiions on my hard drive. This love of tech also spread and got me into 3d printing, which is a passion I would have never found if i didn’t educate myself about computers to understand bticoin.
Then I had to learn about financial systems. After learning a lot (big thanks to ivan for sharing such amazing sources and giving spotlight to great characters ( like mike malony and ray dalio). And after learning the basics, and how broken the system is, it helped give me the confidence to start my own 3d printing company.
And now my goal is to actually get certified and learn programming. My goal is to go full time in crypto like ivan preaches every day. I see the future potential as limitless in crypto, because I see the problems it solves, and understand the endless possibilities of problems it can solve. I came for the quick money, but am still here three years later because of opportunities the tech gives us.

My name is Oliver, I’m 26 years old and live in Zurich, Switzerland.
I have been fascinated by the crypto space since over a year and just can’t keep learning and informing myself about it.
I studied Geography and Urban planning, but currently work as a freelance copywriter.
I don’t know how far I will dive into programming, but I’m certainly interested in learning some things. Who knows, how I might be able to apply this knowledge one day.

I was just starting a python course a few days ago when I learned about this opportunity to master blockchain and joined immediately!
I live a nomadic life as a freelance translator (FR/EN/DE/NL --> NL/EN/FR) for 20 years now, and am in covid-confinement in Nepal at the moment (not the worst place to be actually). I have been following bitcoin since 2013. The translation business is slowly but surely being conquered by robots, so I need to find other sources of income/activity. I have a few blockchain ideas of my own and hope to realize them one day. This blockchain course is the perfect solution for me. Thank you Ivan!

JBrewer here and new as of today. Have been involved in sw development and management for many years and am here to get fully up to speed on all things blockchain.
