Hi There,
Am Dominic from London, am absolutely new on Blockchain. I am a very keen learner always willing to learn new technologies.
Hi I’m Sebastian from Italy
Want to take profit of this quarantine learning as much as I can about crypto and blosckchain!
My name is Örjan. I got hooked in early December 2017 when I was in hospital for five days. Then I thought there only existed one crypto currency; BTC. Some how I found my way to CMC and there my interest started. IOTA drew my attention, just genius and actually the only place I thought crypto made sense. So I invested and lost, but learned. Not investing in crypto at the moment, if BTC drops due to the recession I will get in at a better price. I think it is coming.
Otherwise no background in programming, started out with some simple Basic on my VIC20, then tried html when it was new and some javascript. But I never continued. But blockchain is truly a unique.
I follow the business through YouTube. I hope I can get help to pursue a new career, my track record says I won’t but I will try. Hope this is a good place to get help when stuck.
Hello Everyone !
I have been in the crypto space from 2017.
I always wanted to learn more about blockchain development but I was always very skeptical about it as I did not had any prior technical knowledge about coding/programming.
But now I am determined to learn everything about blockchain.
I look forward to interacting with you guys in the community in times to come.
Hopefully we all will be able to achieve our goals together .
All the best guys
Ivan and fellow Cryptonitez,
Hoping you all stay healthy and happy.
I am frontiers man crypto blockchain loving dude.
Happy to continue to learn, chat, work and grow with all those Ivangelist!!
I enjoy Caribbean island lifestyle and a lot of smart work.
One love,
Ryan
Hello everyone!
I’ve been interested in blockchain and crypto but never really got too deep into it. Having time now with quarantine I want to take advantage of the time and really learn what this is all about.
Hello,
my name is Andreas and I have a PhD in physics. I started my job life programming in SAS on a main frame computer at a direct marketing company near Munich. After that I worked for a consulting company in Munich. Since my wife is Korean I took a job offer from South-Korea and I worked as a consultant in a Korean venture company for three years. At that time I could improve my Korean, but we went back to Germany after three years, because we didn’t want our son to have to go through the stressful Korean school life. Back in Germany I took some more education and finally became a teacher for mathematics, physics and computer science at a middle school. Due to expertise I became a little bit bored with the things I had to teach at school, so I came in touch with crypto currencies! I had been in crypto for quite some time now! I traded on Tradehill, MtGox and BTC-e in the old days. I miss these old times when I sold BTC on MtGox for USD, converted the USD into a coupon code using Bitinstant (Charlie Shrems company) and bought back some more BTC on the BTC-e exchange. I even did some youtube videos on this, which are all outdated now! I developed some software in these days to accelerate the process of transferring funds from MtGox to BTC-e via Bitinstant. This already had been a kind of short-time loan. Paying 500 USD in MtGox funds, receive a coupon code, which gave me back about 492 USD on BTC-e exchange. And I also created a software for looking on the order books and trading at MtGox. In these days I also tried to sell this software to clients, but unfortunately my website had been hacked and the hackers uploaded another version of my MtGox client software and then stole the funds of my customers. I had been very devastated back then and decided to give up my company.
Nowadays I use my Raspberry Pi to run some very easy trading bots written in python, trading 24/7. It took me quite some time to figure out the API of some exchanges, but finally I made it for some crypto exchanges. In the old days I also had been into mining, but someday I had to shutdown my Terraminer IV, because the electricity had been more expensive than the value of BTC it mined. This was quite ironic, because I sold 50 BTC for the funds I needed to get this Bitcoin Miner. After selling my BTC for a rather cheap price, Bitcoin price skyrocketed! Running this miner for about half a year, it mined about 20 BTC. And the electricity cost had been about 2000€. But unfortunately I lost most of the 20 BTC trading, so there is still this 2000€ electricity bill I need to earn to get my invested money back. What an irony: Paying 50 BTC to get 20 BTC mined!
These old days were really exciting times. I owned quite some BTC back then, but I lost nearly all of it in the “trading hell” as Ivan described it. I want to use this academy to get some more programming skills and to become a builder, because trading will usually eat up all your funds if you are not knowing well what you are doing! Most of the times it is best not to trade at all! Most of the traders in cryptoland lose their funds rather quickly. Another tool I created on my own is calculating my 2FA codes for the exchanges I still use. If you have a question about how to calculate a 2FA code you can ask me. This tool is designed with an old authoring system called Mediator, but this software is no longer supported. I liked this software, because you could get a GUI very quickly. And you could do easy programming per drap and drop. More sophisiticated calculations could be performed using VBscript. I can say that I have some programming experience, but I still see myself as a hobby programmer, who has to improve his programming skills some more to create something of value.
Hopefully you were not too bored reading my story until the end.
Hello all!
I am somewhat new to the space. I am a lifelong learner and heard about bitcoin back in 2017 but thought is was just a fad. Due to the recent world events (economic downfall along with COVID sweeping hospital halls), I have become interested in the ways that DeFi/DeFi tech could bring benefit to the world. I have a few ideas and different ways that blockchain/distributed database tech could be implemented and want to learn more about how to do that! My background is in neuroscience/medicine with some dabbles in finance (was a day/swing trader of the stock market through college).
Looking forward to learning with and from you all!
Iammee
Hi my name is Ivelin,
I am originally from Bulgaria but moved to UK around 17 years ago.
I find out for Bitcoin first back in 2011 when it was around $80 - $100 in a trading platforms and get curious what exactly it is. From that point been trough different phases and learning curves, been trough mining as well but always feel the need of better understanding and knowledge of the blockchain and crypto world.
Hopefully I will find what I am looking for here :).
Hi there! My name is Luís and I’m from Portugal.
I am a Software Engineer working on the web and cloud spaces. Late last year I started researching and learning about blockchain and distributed ledger technologies. I became passionate about the subject and now believe that decentralized and trustless systems will disrupt many businesses and revolutionize the world just like the Internet did in the 90s.
Other than that, I love travelling the world. Learning about other cultures has widened my perspective of so many things! I’m also passionate about music and I’d say that I’m a music producer wannabe…
So now that I joined the academy, I’m looking forward to start sharing knowledge with you all and continue my journey in blockchain.
Cheers,
Luís
Hi Ivan and Forum peoples,
My name is Bryce, I’ve been into Crypto since 2017, watching your channel, mostly from a trader/investor viewpoint, got interested in the tech while researching projects, never feel like I know enough no matter how much I consume and felt that this shutdown was a good time to dig in and learn the fundamentals about the space. Thank you for this course!
Hullo Everyone. Nash here from Uganda. I work as a civil engineer in a consulting firm (AES).
Iam excited to learn alot from Ivan about the crypto space. I also hope to learn from all of you here.
hi everyone
I have been working a factory job the last 31 years and i’m looking to retire in the next 9 months. I discover cripto currency’s about two years ago and have been hooked every since. i found Ivan;s academy on YouTube about two months ago and decided to take his courses and realize that block change technology is not going anywhere I want to be a part of it!
Thanks Dan
Hello Ivan, thank you for all the work you do! I have just started the Blockchain 101 course and I’m really excited. I try to watch “Good Morning Crypto” as much as possible live. I have already learned a lot, but I want to dig deeper into this new technology. As a Civil Engineer, I love technology, but I want to get away from these construction sites wearing you off. For some time now, I’m looking for a change in work, which allows me to work from home. In the Netherlands traffic is horrible and very time consuming. Maybe, blockchain technology will change my life, we’ll see! Best regards, Mark
Hello, my name is Frank. I live in South Carolina and rarely get to watch Ivan’s live stream, but I listen to his podcasts daily. I have been in the IT industry for over 30 years mainly in the insurance vertical, and have been following crypto since 2015. I’m extremely excited to expand my understanding of Bitcoin and blockchain.
Hello I’m new to the forum and a bit new to crypto currency. I’m from Texas/USA and been doing pretty well in the oil and gas industry. We haven’t felt any effects of the COVID19 jobless claims. We are doing well , so far. It’s basically the same ol show. I deliver oil tools and equipment to oil locations and somethings crude oil and sand for fracking.
During all this chaos , I looked for opportunities and saw it in crypto. I signed up for the academy and I’m very excited to get started and begin a new chapter in my life that will change my life and add new skill sets to enable my financial independence.
Thank you guys for your insights and welcoming. I’m privileged to be apart of this new community and build new relationships.
Thank you.
Hello everyone!
My name is Eva and I live in Spain. I was introduced to cryptos 18 months ago, and I really wish to expand my knowledge as the world is clearly changing, rapidly and i don´t want to be left behind. I´m also starting a property business involving cryptos.
Thank you Ivan, for offering Ivan for offering these courses, I´m really excited about this.
Hi! I’m Jeff. I’m a software engineer already, but not on blockchain, so I’m branching out. I currently work on enterprise software (HR/Finance).
I found this interface a bit unintuitive, had to search a while to find the little reply arrow to reply to this thread. I was expecting something more like Telegram chat to make a new post. I suppose I’ll find many things not as I expect them to be, but I’ll catch on eventually.
ello everyone, my name is Michael and I from the Northwoods of Wisconsin! I am currently living the the Chicago burbs with my wife Amanda, together we are professional ballroom dancers and have been competing and teaching now for 9 years.
I stumbled into blockchain after many years stressing out about how our legal and monetary system in the US is designed to help those in power positions. After trying to make my own local currency in Illinois without success I came across someone speaking about Bitcoin. This was 2013 and it clicked! This was everything that I was looking for! I bought about .25 BTC and have been HODLing ever since.
With Covid-19 here, I am really not sure how we will be able to pick up teaching ballroom dance like we used to, so besides the garden that I am building for my wife and I, I will be expanding my skills into the blockchain sector!
I have some great ideas for small towns across the united states and this is the best way I believe I can see them realized
Hei,
