Introduce yourself

Hey,

My name is Maze and i am classical tapereader trader with more than 20 years experience in the stock market. Since 1 year I am trading Crypto Markets and left the stock market behind me (only holding some long term positions).

Crypto space is traded 24/7 without any holidays, which means that bull and bear market cycles in crypto space run up tp 25 times faster than in the stock market.

Since one year I am trading with only one goal: generating more Bitcoins!

Ivan helped me to understand blockchain and crypto much better, thank you!

Just a long time hodler; returning Nov. of this year with interest of things more than btc. Now armed with ETH,LTC,XRP,XLM,IOTA and yes even some DOGE, 2018 seems like a very promising year.

I am personally concerned about privacy, especially on the public block. Also to my knowledge blockchain is not quantum proof. Nevertheless, I believe in blockchain but used as a private blockchain, but not as a public.

Hey all,

I’m a veteran programmer working in the health care field working with chat-bot’s and natural language processing to do user intent discernment and restructuring. I’m new to block chain and smart contracts and I’m currently looking at Ethereum, Neo, and Eos as a platform for a smart contract app.

I’m still struggling badly to find a reasonable technique for integrating access to an external server into my smart contract block steps. The best lead I have so far are Oracles but I can’t find a good “deep dive” or source code project to look at. Any ideas/tips for external server access are greatly appreciated, especially given the dire comments made in places like the Ethereum/Solidity forums regarding the logistics nightmares of opening a socket from a smart contract code, especially from a miner’s station on the Ethereum platform.

I’ve had a dream for a long time of creating a crowd sourced, distributed decision making code entity where an abstraction layer dynamically creates decision/consensus committees in an ad hoc fashion, based on the transaction being facilitated. I’m hoping block chain and smart contracts, in conjunction with chat-bots and NLP/text analytics, can help me finally create this app/tech.

I believe Neo is “quantum resistant”, but you should read their white paper yourself for details.

I am 26 years old, I live in portugal, Porto city.
I was military for 6 years, and at the same time I started a course in Mathematics at the University.
As I have always liked the area of computer science and mathematics, I decided not to continue my military career and only to study for a long time.
At the moment I am finishing the math course and at the same time taking another course in computer engineering and computing.

I intend to specialize in data science and technology blcokchain and tangle.

Thank you very much, and I hope I can help the community!

And by coincidence, I intend to live in Sweden in the future.

CryptoS17 here

Early adopter, investor in BTC, and now hobby miner and trader in ALTs, since early 2017

I have a very diverse background, working in different fields, but mainly project management in the entertainment industry and e-commerce space

I haven’t got a tech background on paper, but grew up with a keyboard at my fingertips - ever since my mother bought me my first Commodore64 at the age of 7
Since then I have self-educated on basic programming back in the VB days, and unfortunately haven’t kept up beyond HTML and CSS since - but getting back into it now, hoping to step into a profession in the BlockChain industry.

I am currently employed (to accumulate trading funds - will not trade my core holdings)

I’m located in Scandinavia and UK, but that’s about as far as I’ll go publicly (and yes @ivan - this IS a VPN :P)

And on that note, thank you for starting this community, and BIG UPS to Ivan for one of the best and most informative YouTube channels in the entire Crypto space IMHO…

Hey y’all! Gene here from Chicago. I’m a Product Designer and Front-end Developer. I’ve been designing/building UI for financial applications for over a decade. I’ve been into traditional trading/investing for years, after learning about cryptos and the blockchain it has consumed a great deal of my time these last few weeks.

Hope to learn more from everyone here and hear about great ideas. I’m also interested in working on projects if anybody is in need of a technical designer.

Cheers!

Hi Ivan, I just watched your video on Iota and the Curl function. It was very informative to know the collisions were placed there as a trap door. Thanks!

Thanks!

Hello, my name is Marcina. I am new to blockchain and am trying to learn everything I can about how it can be used for applications in the real world. My background is 20 years in Windows Network Administration and I am super in love with PowerShell scripting. I am excited to take Ivan’s course, starting in Feb 2018. I am also interested in learning as much as I can so I can spread the word to the people I know. People tend to tune out in technology discussions so I want to keep it interesting, like Ivan does…

Hey,
I study Computer Science and Philosophy at Oxford. Learning about currencies and am far more interested in the blockchain rather than the actual transfer of “virtual money”. Quite excited by all of this, really want to know where the future leads to and how I can become a part of it

I’m Josh from Alaska, I write a futury crypto-related site called dontpanicsell.com (that’s a hitchhiker’s guide reference + trading slang). I study psych and comp sci, and have a lot of plans to take over the world (check out my Roots project, I’m real shitty at javascript and html but that’s where I’m starting for building it). Definitely open to collaboration. Hello world!
