Hi, I’m Hutch and have just joined the academy. I’m a former software developer and ITPM and took some time out of the sector to learn about trading. That brought me to cryptocurrencies and subsequently here. I feel the crypto space is on the verge of something very special and hope to be part of it. I look forward to learning new skills and being part of this community. Thanks.
Hello Everyone. I’m based out of Tokyo and Okinawa Japan. Been here 23 years 20 of which I built an ecommerce business, but now looking to the future and interested in how blockchain can be applied to ecommerce. Free time I kiteboard snowboard ride gravel bike.
Howdy! I actually signed up for this course over a year ago and didn’t do anything with it; so, hopefully, this time I’ll stick with it and learn some blockchain programming. I’ve worked in the software industry for 30+ years… initially as a developer however the last 20 yrs as a SQL Server Database Administrator. My goal is to learn blockchain programming so as to make myself 100% remote working employable. Unfortunately, as a DBA I am required to work late nights and weekends which I’d rather spend doing what I want to do. Looking forward to working on blockchain projects with others so as to build my development expertise. I also have a few business ideas that I’ve been mulling over for years that are well-suited for blockchain that I hope to start building soon. Cheers!
Hi, I am Matt from Germany . Really enjoyed the first lectures and curious about to dig deeper into it. Working as IT consultant, mererly for banks, so getting to know a lot of issues with the banking industry and their adoption to new technology.
I am a true believer that Blockchain can change the world and try to get as much knowledge and connections to people who are interested in this topic as possible.
Cheerio!
Hi, my name is Jakob. I consider myself a newbie in the space.
Aside from crypto, I like languages, food and sports. I enjoy cycling the most, but I recently got into running as well. I hope my journey to the academy is not too long of an introduction.
If I remember correctly, my first contact with crypto was as early as 2009. Back then I set up a miner on my computer to utilize my grapics card, a Radeon X800. I joined a random mining pool that I found in some forum. Unfortunately I couldn’t claim my share of the block reward as I had no idea how bitcoin actually worked, so I turned off the miner.
My interest had faded away quickly and I didn’t even hear of the word “blockchain” until many years later. Even 2017 went by without my noticing of the hype. In early 2018, however, I was given the opportunity to translate a whitepaper for a new crypto project. And I gladly accepted that privilege, even though I knew that I had zero knowledge about crypto. After I got my reward in ETH, I had an incentive to find out how to access my coins. So in late 2018 I felt that I should finally cash out. I asked a good friend, of whom I knew he had been mining for several years, how to do everything. In his enthusiasm he shared all of his knowledge with me and told me about the bear market which he believed was about to bottom. So I listened to him, did my own research and by February of this year, instead of selling my Ether, I ended up buying bitcoin and other altcoins.
Almost a year passed since then, and finally, thanks to a mention of “Ivan’s pants” in a funny clip about dancing Ethereum developers, I learned about Ivan’s YouTube channel and thus got introduced to the academy.
So thank you, Ivan, for sharing your knowledge with us. I hope to learn a lot from you and the community.
TL;DR: I like black coffee, no milk, no sugar, too!
Hi, i just sign up for 1 year academy, i’m trying to learn from the scratch, that’s means i never ever code on my hole life, hope i can learn the basics at least.

Hi everyone, I am quite intimidated and exited at the same time. I am very new to crypto and programming.
I live in Germany, I’m half arab half spanish, I have a background in international sales, I have two small kids and I want to learn as much as I can about this amazing technology to be able to understand the tech and money that my boys are going to use in the future.
Ivan, thank you for your channel and this opportunity.
My name is Mark. I am live in San Jose. I have been active within the BTC space since 2017. I wished I’d joined sooner! Hindsight is a wonderful thing!! Currently learning Japanese, and looking to move my knowledge to stimulate my children to follow their passions as my mother and father did for me as child.
I started my career in Japan with KyushuMatstushita (Panasonic) making printers and plan to finish my career in Japan so improving my understanding of the language combined with an improved knowledge of cryptography is beneficial given Asia is a driving force behind block chain.
