My name is George and am from Cyprus. I work for Block.co, a company that issues certificates on the Bitcoin Blockchain, commercially deploying a solution from the University of Nicosia. I recently changed career path from regulated investment services (Forex) to the crypto industry. I have no idea whatsoever about coding and am hoping to develop my skills from Ivan’s course. After being intrigued by Bitcoin in 2013, I started ASIC mining as a hobbyist with the help of a friend and started doing more research on this experiment. It didn’t take long for me to make the connection between the vision behind it and how it can improve the quality of life we live. Currently, I am aspiring to contribute to the technology’s adoption locally and globally, primarily through education and discussion, with the promotion of local meetups, open, public, educational lectures and online communities. Among other roles, I gladly assist organizations to issue their digital certificates on the Bitcoin blockchain using Open Source Technology and Open Standards! I love helping others whether these are individuals or teams, as I feel that everyone I meet has something to teach me.

Hi, Myself 40 yrs old Shamik from India. I got into BTC from 2017 and fall in love forever. I started as an investor and then felt the need for more closer understanding of this space. So decided to jump into basic building block of this space that is programming - actually I am getting into this space because of my child whom I wanted to grow as a good competent programmer than just an engineer (In India we have lots and lots of them and most are jobless). I believe this field will bring lots of opportunities for my child and I think this is best gift (apart from my time) I can give to him by learning myself programming and pass it on to the next GEN. Hi my name is Yousef i just joined the academy.I am originally from Ethiopia but now I am living in Canada. I was following Ivan diligently(if not live) since 2017 and i always subscribe to anything he suggested but not actively participating. As he said i think i am a lurker in the darkness.I am in my late 40’s and a warehouse worker. I am ignorant of all the good things when it comes to computer and it’s usage. This time i decided to put a little bit more effort and see how it’s going to unfold in the space of crypto and blockchain. I heard about bitcoin in 2011 but didn’t pay much attention and totally forgot about it. In December 2016 when i walk in to this convenience store i saw a Bitcoin machine and i was like what??? since then i was in the space but didn’t do any tangible thing. I hope this time things will turn around to the best.

My name is Jonatan and I am an ex. restaurant chef and ex. professional poker player that made a transition into programming about 1 year ago, now working full-time as a webdeveloper.
Learned about bitcoin around 2015 when there was alot of buzz going around with a pyramid scheme called onecoin. I tried doing research on and quickly realised there was no info about the “cryptocurreny” onecoin, always refferring to something called bitcoin, so that’s where my journey began.
At the time I was playing poker professionally. Had my biggest live score in Prague on the 17th of December 2016 ( my birthday, lol ), this is when I entered bitcoin.
I could not have ever imagined the year ahead of me, crypto and 2017 
In the middle of the boom I couldn’t help myself I stopped playing poker to do something in the crypto space.
Called my bro, and Finnish cryptomining was born. We had a blast, built plug and play altcoin miners and had a small farm of our own. 2018 was too harsh, the mining scene was not profitable for us and we ran out of ideas which made us decide to close down.
My enthusiasm for crypto was still there though but I changed path, i started learning programming. Applied for a local school, finished the school in 1 year ( normally 2 years ).
Today I working full-time as a webdeveloper at an awesome company in Finland.
Have been following Ivan since before Good morning crypto, but when the series of GMC started I was hooked. Have watched every single episode. ( But I am a lurker in the dark, and keep on beeing even though i get called out alot, sorry @ivan ).
I still have a hard to explaining to people the simplest questions of crypto like, what is bitcoin and why bitcoin, mining wtf? And that’s why I am here.
