Hi peeps, the name is Ryota and I’m a software developer here in Melbourne Australia.

In the second quarter of 2017 (many of you still refer it as the beginning of the ICO gold rush of 2017), I first heard of Ethereum blockchain and decided to check it out. For almost 2 weeks, besides my 9-5 jobs, I only slept 1-2 hours/day and spent the rest of the time to research and study like crazy about blockchain, bitcoin, smart contract and crypto currencies.

That marked the beginning of my blockchain and crypto journey.

Since then I have been a crypto trader, ICO researcher/investor, blockchain and crypto enthusiast, and been spreading the word about blockchain, and on boarding other people around me.

I have been following Ivan for over 1.5 years and recently decided to check out the Academy. My goal here is to learn, to have fun and continue to spreading the word about this Changing The World technology with you guys.

Hey! My name is Rico van Winkel and i am from The Hague in the Netherlands. Currently working on different meet-ups for students that want to learn more about blockchain and ai. After the first few meet-ups, we will expand and create (mini) hackathons for students, where they need to create teams and develop their first prototype for real businesses.

Hi Everybody,

My name is Brendan Valentine. First of all big thank you to Ivan for putting this together!

I am in my early thirties and have been working on the corporate side of health care for 5 years. I invest in and trade cryptocurrencies, stocks, options and futures as well. I am looking forward to designing trading algorithms and systems. Also learning to program starting with this course, javascript, C++, and Python.

I have struggled with complex health problems for many years which ran through childhood and culminated with a few trauma events including a head on car collision over 12 years ago and multiple disc blowouts in my low back. However I have put myself back together stronger and now focus on meditation, functional fitness, diet & nutrition, and integrative medicine.

I believe that through community and sharing we can all become stronger and better people while working towards common goals and values.

I look forward to learning more about blockchain programming with Ivan’s expert guidance and working with you all!

I am also studying a few programming languages on the side of this course and looking to develop a strong base computer science skillset. I’m always interested to hear more about what it takes to succeed professionally in this industry as I eventually hope to transition into it full time.

Hello all, I’m Arno living and working in Belgium. I was introduced to bitcoin in late 2016.
I didn’t know anything about it at the time and loosed some money. I started to learn more about the technical part of the blockchain during the bullmarket of 2017 and it amazed me!
Now I want to learn to be a blockchain programmer and be part of the revolution.

I have manufacturing low and cutting edge electronics and robotics, IT of different types and now I am the Technology Manger for a campus. engineer and worked with a background check company for 3 years after school. I had to move on to learn more about new technologies because I have great passion for technology. Technology in Africa is picking up slowly and I think with blockchain we can reach great heights . Am really happy about what Ivan on tech Academy teaches I think is great and the best place to learn about blockchain.

I have a lot of hobbies but love creating music and playing video games. I also workout twice every week. Great to be here guys to learn with you.

I am new to programming. Only did some drag and drop stuff with my kids on code.org. Have been into bitcoin since years but was away from the space for some years before last year. Now I have been full on and vowed never to leave it again. Very excited for this space and its potentials. I’m Irish but living in Denmark.

I’m interested in programming as I see it could be an enjoyable and challenging business. Work will tell! :smiley:

I’m Mark, It’s great to be part of this community and I’m looking forward to contributing to discussions.
I got interested in blockchain in February 2018, and now I’m here to learn in a structured way and hopefully my next career move will be into the blockchain space. I’ve completed the “Blockchain Deep Fundamentals” course and next up for me is the “Blockchain Business Masterclass” before tackling one of the programming courses.

I live in the UK on the South Coast (Bournemouth), with my wife and two eight year old kids. I work for Specsavers Support Office as an IT Project Manager delivering change projects into the business.
