Super excited to dive into this course. if it is anything like the Blockchain and Bitcoin 101 course i might need to figure out how to expand my skull.
hi all! i just finished Blockchain & bitcoin 101 and now time Expand our knowledge further!
Hi guys, I just completed the [Blockchain & Bitcoin 101] course. Really Enjoying this academy, looking forward to moving on further.
Just finished Bitcoin & Blockchain 101, Iām excited for the next step in this journey!
Hi everyone, go by the handle āMadoncryptoā super excited to be here. Just completed Blockchain & Bitcoin 101 & now about to embark on Etherium 101ā¦
Madoncrypto
Great to be here. Progressing well in my course and looking forward to learn more about Blockchain.
Hi, I also, do not see any videos, just the questions
Please excuse the noobie question as I am still trying to grasp the practicalitiesā¦
Using Ivanās example of the kid who gets money for passing/finishing schoolā¦
If the kid changes schools, or miraculously graduates ahead of schedule, do we have a problem?
Also, if the nodes on the blockchain must verify that the kid has passed, doesnāt it only need to be confirmed by the school, i.e. 1 node/CPU? Where would the other nodes be in this example? I have not yet finished the Ethereum module yet but thought I would ask the question while it was on my mind and reach out to the community.
Thanks!
Looking forward to the program! Nice to meet you all.
When Ivan talked about bitcoin not being as fungible as Eth and used the example of 1eth will always = 1 eth but 1 bitcoin may not equal 1 bitcoin because that bitcoin may come from a hack or something that exchanges have blacklisted, does this mean theoretically, lets say my friend gets .3 btc from someone in a p2p transaction, this .3 btc happens to be stolen from an exchange or illegally obtained somewhere but my friend has no idea, he keeps this .3btc in his wallet for a few years and then sends it to me, I then send this .3btc to coinbase and try to sell it, potentially coinbase could see that this .3btc came from an illegal hack or method and not let me sell it?
Iām super excited to start learning about ethereum
1. What was Web 1.0?
It operated like a static billboard where you could only post text, images and links. There was no customization or interacting with the user.
2. What is a smart contract?
A smart contract is code that can execute functions based on a set of predetermined conditions.
3. How is transparency achieved with ethereum code?
Transparency is achieved by being able to read the blockchain to see what was executed while still maintaining the confidentiality of the nature of the transaction.
I think there are some readings (the links) Ivan suggest to start with in order to understand the foloowing lectures.
Is solidity part of a programming language and where it came from.
Hey @jaystevezl, hope you are well.
Solidity IS the programing language used in Ethereum Smart Contracts, vitalik buterin design it specifically so users can program smart contract in Ethereum by using that programmin languange (also viper which is similar to python, but solidity is the most used for now).

complete. I wonder how my computer will cope with web 3.0.
ahā¦I got to the end of the course but failed to complete this question before content bit ha ha. glad Iām not the only one who flamingoed up this bit. slowly becoming more enlightened about ethereum.
I have been gone for a while but am back hungry to learn more
