Ethereum Introduction - Discussion

Question: If the Ethereum account model is so much simpler than the UTXO model used for Bitcoin, WHY does Bitcoin use UTXOs? The answer surely is not privacy since Bitcoin doesn’t really achieve great privacy, just minor obfuscation. Why didn’t Bitcoin simply do it the way Ethereum does?

Ethereum is well position and pivot pf altcoin.
Very excited to be exposed to the insides of Ethereum.

Let’s start the course, i am so excited, cause i really want to go more deep into ETH, for the moment i think that it is not yet sustainable (ignorant opinion maybe, but we are here to learn  ) to much fees, and there are many competitors.
Nowadays im Bitcoin lover :stuck_out_tongue:

Hello everyone. I can’t wait to learn how Ethereum works! I am as much a beginner to all of this as it gets. I just finished Blockchain & Bitcoin 101 and I am amazed how much I’ve learned already! I can’t think of any questions yet but I’m sure I will.
Happy learning!!

Hello everyone!! I’m excited to start my journey into Ethereum. I’ve been a web developer for over 15 years, so I’m familiar with a lot of web technology. If anyone has any advice for how a web developer like myself can make the most of this program, let me know. My plan is to eventually find a job in this field where I can work remotely.

Hello everyone,

I have a Mechanical Engineering background and am looking to advance my skills/knowledge in the DeFi space as I believe that is the future of finance. I hope to learn some basic programming skills so I can create my own complex transactions and write my own smart contacts. If this all leads to a remote job that would be incredible as well.

Cheers!

This is exactly the stage I’m at too. Being completely new to all of this I feel like I’ve been plugged into the matrix with the amount I’ve learned already . My favourite lecture so far in this course has been EVM Solidity and Smart Contracts in terms of the amount of information in that video.

We certainly did dive deeply!

what exactly is the meaning of the concept of the ‘state’? I am interpreting this as its literal dictionary definition, but I want to make sure I am not watering down a complex concept.
