Hey @ArthurG, hope you are well.

Could you please tell me which lesson are you stuck? would be great if you can provide a screenshot of what your facing about that locked lesson. Also I could advice to check if you have marked any past lesson has “complete” (blue button mark complete and then change to complete)

If you have any more questions, please let us know so we can help you!

Hey! I don’t really know where to post Q’s in this forum, so I’ll just “Reply” here.

My question is, are opportunities for Ethereum as good and as plentiful today in 2021, as they were back in 2019? Also, what are the major threats to Ethereum today?

Many thanks!
Duke

Hey @Duke-of-Dublin, hope you are great.

Ethereum in my opinion is the most fastest developed project by far, it have most of the cleaver guys in the world creating crazy stuffs, just look at the ICO hype last years, now its DeFi and NFT, ETH 2.0 is on the way, layer2 solutions… :exploding_head:

Ok, thanks. I also thought there was a video

Thank you, really enjoying the courses

This is a bit of a philosophical question but as a novice I am interested to hear what the community believes. My question is: With the growth in popularity in smart contract platforms, does this type of technology risk removing something which is an integral part of all human relationships - Trust?

I understand the benefits smart contracts bring to society in automation but the self-executing nature of smart contracts seems inflexible. My concern is that relationships sometimes entail uncertainty and natural limitation of human foresight (both internal and external factors beyond the control of the parties). My belief is most relationships generally entail some level of interpersonal trust to circumvent these short comings in society.

Very interested to hear what everybody else thinks or has additional resources which will help explore the question further?

Thanks

Smart Contracts Question:

There are a few examples of a smart contract holding money until kid finishes school. The smart contract eventually checks that the kid has finished school or not, and kid either receives money or does not. What would be an example of HOW this smart contract checks the completion of school or not. Is this done by manual entry of criteria? Or is it more like an approval process by the creator(s) of the smart contract (or persons authorized by creator to approve)?

Thank you for your contributions to the discussion. I recognize many aspects of your posted philosophical questions are rhetorical. Indeed, relationships do entail interpersonal trust. In contrast, I expect that my spell check will fix mistakes and/ or typos. In other words, I trust the spell check; for lack of better words.
Best Regards.
