I think at the current moment, DEFI is still quite hard to understand for the people who are more senior in age, less educated in computing, coming from more rural parts of the World, and various groups of people that do not see finance in the same way. Any DEFI that can simplify the current systems and allow mass adoption will be a good project.

Sushiswap is a decentralized exchange based on a uniswap fork. It has become quite popular lately.

Really enjoying the Defi 101 course however I’m struggling to understand a fundamental question.
If I have 100 ETH, why would I want to lock that up in Compound at 150% collateral then borrow some DAI for example?
What would I want with the DAI? Couldn’t I just exchange some ETH for DAI on a DEX if I wanted some?
The one that I looked up for 2021 is yearn.finance (YFI)
Yearn is a growing collection of DeFi services intended to act as a simple gateway for the broader DeFi ecosystem. YFI is purely and simply a governance token. Its holders are allowed to vote on decisions that affect Yearn.
My understanding is lot of people do take loans for doing arbitrage or other stuff without selling 100 ETH as the value in future may increase and give negligible 6-10% annual rate on taking loans for doing stuff for example i will take loan on my Asset like GOLD or property as i love my asset but it is given as collateral not sold just taken loan on that thinking that i will earn more than i have taken interest on like loan is 6% APY and Earning is more than 6% so why would i not take loan. This is done by many business man thay take loan from bank and invest hoping to get more return than loan and its a win win situation for Ecosystem. Here is what thay are doing taking loan and loit of people also giving their asset so that they earn 2-4% intrest or sometimes more.

Why is coinbase not in the list? would it be considered cefi? is it because it doesnt have a token?

I think CRYPTO20 is really cool. Ivan mentioned it on his youtube channel a few weeks ago and I was checking it out. An ETF equivalent is something that could appeal to investors who are otherwise uncofortable with buying individual tokens or coins but still want exposure into the crypto space.

The defi ecosystem is amazing and growing new projects are popping up all the time on every blockchain. For instance the video game space is going to be huge with projects like SAND MANA Engin Wax and so many more. Right now I am accumulating as much of these gaming tokens as possible if not just for my children. I see how huge the gaming space is and how much potential crypto has for this space. Eventually i expect all video games to run on the blockchain in some form or fashion it only makes sense. I really think every kid in the world will be playing the Sandbox game soon it is awesome even for a 37 year old marine corps veteran. I also just invested in ChainGames I think This project is doing amazing things for the gaming space. Check out some of these projects let me know what you think guys
