It was a brief introduction into blockchain. Nothing new to me but I am not a beginner regarding blockchain. For ā€œnewbiesā€ it is very well explained in my opinion. Maybe you should do quizzes instead of writing the homeworks (for this section). I am pretty sure most of the users donĀ“t write answers to the homework or copy/paste something. It is not necessary and more time consuming. With evaluation of the answers of the quizzes you can also do some data sciences (see where most of the members have problems of understandings -> improve your explanation or shift the focus)

So far I enjoy the course and I have no questions: Not a newbie in this space.
I just suggest you to always specify better which kind of bc you are talking about so far. The one intended value transactions or the other for origins certification.
Ciao!

I am very happy to be learning more about blockchain and cryptos. I have been learning on my own for a few years watching youtube videos and reading alot about it. I have now decided to take the plunge into a career learning how to program blockchain and cryptos and to teach others about it as well. The crypto and blockchain world is so exciting to me.
I just finished the first level of block chain and Bitcoin 101 and so far i am impressed with the learning process. The videos are not too long and Ivan keeps my attention easily. He teaches well enough where total beginners would be able to understand the material. Thanks Ivan!

Thank You for this course, it was very simly explained, but I still don’t understand one thing.
If every new block of data it is attached to the previous one, and yo can remove anything from the blockchain you can only add new things, so it might be situation in the future that this blockchain will be so long that it will be very difficult to store it.
Can you explain me how does this work?

You can also enable prune - mode, then you only need the latest part of the blockchain. You can set how big it is allow to be. If the blockchain gets to big, maybe only a certain amount of users will run the whole blockchain. Especially those with heavy equipment. On the other hand, storage is becoming bigger and cheaper. I remember a time where 10MB was enormous

Great refresher materials in the first lessons of this course materials. I’ve spent the past several years accumulating knowledge base from various sources and i’m looking forward to diving into the more advance levels of the Academy’s curriculum.

I have no experience in this field but have 25 years of business experience with multi-million dollar annual contracts completed in house and through sub-contract contribution. Nothing I have learned about in this short introduction will benefit my company more than using blockchain. Thank you for the clear overview.

I have a question about updating the public ledger…

How is it that ā€œall participants have a copy of the ledgerā€? does that mean all bitcoin holders have a copy of the ledger? Or is it just miners?

Hi
Love the map you created :grinning:
The interconnection between it all
A map of all that there is in our own experience
Any tips on how to do it
Do you use any specific program to log in the data?
I Would absolutely love to learn how to do it

I admire your creativity how to show complex material. As I am a visual person I truly enjoy your work. I actually believe that especially in crypto where we are talking about something that one does not see [apart from hopefully positive block chain developments that move and influence very much our world = like a very effective and fast currency system through ETH perhaps or XRP]. Thank you for your very positive contribution.

I wonder if the world will end up in a complete blockchain system as it can only work perfectly but human nature itself is (beautifully) imperfect.
