Has anyone been able to build a blockchain or cryptocurrency?

Absolutely. But it takes a beefy machine to open this link:

I think this is a good starting point for my education in blockchain. I have a long background as a developer, arcitect, and manager. I also started my first life-cycle system with the goal of proving regulatory compliance back in 1990, on a client-server system with Informix. Later I have developed life-cycle systems with other frameworks, the goal being the same, full transparency and auditing capabilities. From what I can see so far the Blockchain approach guarantees several advantages and much more integrety (trustless), but I worry about the costs since this distributed approach will 1) necessitate full ā€œledgerā€ in many places on a network, and 2) having learned that creating new blocks has a high cost of electricity. High cost in electricity is not what we need to keep our environment healthy.

Ivan, you say to use the thread for learning the blockchain and cryptocurrencies. Exactly what and where and how am I to do that? This forum thing is not interfacing with my brain. This might be great for those who have already studied this but for me, everything is so new to me, I barely understand blockchain and now cryptocurrencies.
What am I to do? How to get a thread going? I don’t know heck about working in a forum. We di dnt do this in my high school.

Hi! I’ve just completed the introduction Module and it’s very good and easy to follow.

I hope next will be exciting!

Thanks a lot

Hello everyone!

So far first module is done, good material and easy to follow for someone with time restraint. I used perforated cards, saw the birth of electronic calculators and computers (for which at the time I did not give a great future!) and later adopted the Palm and now Android phones. It’s been an interesting journey up to this point and there is more to learn. I like it!

Hello Christine!

The forum is a space for sharing with the Academy community in which you can learn by reading previous posts and also posting questions or themes of discussion over things you need to clarify or things blockchain-related that may contribute to the learning of us all. As an example, this bit of information (https://forumtest.ivanontech.com/t/blockchain-and-cryptocurrencies/8415/51?u=ag01578) I learned by reading the posts.

The basics of blockchain and cryptocurrencies you will learn from the courses within the Academy for which I suggest you set up a plan according to your interest in blockchain and cryptos. That you can do it from the Dashboard.

You can always come to the forum and check if anyone at one time asked about what you want to know and learn from the answers given or if none then ask the question.

Take care and happy learning!

Thanks Ivan and friends!

I used to be so intimidated by blockchain because I thought it was this gargantuan tech that only geniuses understood. The introduction really simplify things and is setting me up for success as I go along with more advanced topics. Blockchain is easier (so far) than I thought!

I might even start drinking my coffee differently!

We basically are light bulbes already. As we learned, approximately 10k photons are kept captive in each cell, within the DNA.

Hi All,

I’ve just completed the first module in ā€œBlockchain and Bitcoin 101ā€ I found it very good to clearly go over some of the blockchain processes and how they translate to the real world of buisness.
Does anyone have any advice as to what module to naturally attempt next?

Thanks and best of luck all,
Dallas

I just finished my first category , I started off slow because of ā€œlife with a growing young familyā€ . I also must admit that I feel that Ivan pitched a great reason for people to buy his course because he is not selling a get rich quick scheme but a viable and practical skill, that will pay in perpetuity which is greater than learning some scheme on how to trade stocks, alt coins, flipping real estate, selling stuff on Amazon, etc. I made the right choice and as I gain more confidence and closer to finishing, I will be encouraging friends that I know that are in need of a new skill as well as my 16 year old daughter. My 1 year old is too young, but by the time he is ready to learn, I should be well on my way to be a good role model as a software engineer . Do you offer an affiliate program that pays a referral fee? I found the affiliate sign up, YEAH!!

enjoying the course so far. thank you …am wondering why the blockchain sometimes gets congested as far as confirmation of BTC and ETH transactions are concerned - what factors cause this?

Great content so far, finding this very interesting. Unfortunately I’ve been busy the last few weeks but I’m enjoying this every time I log in. I’m now treating this like a locomotive engine, starting slowly in the beginning then building up towards full momentum…cheers!
