Activity Lesson 2

I go to sleep late at night because it is crypto time. During the day, I work, and I have kids and a dog. So, sometimes I go to sleep at 2 am, and I wake up at 8.30h. It is hard for me to sleep less, although I want to give up that extra sleep and wake up at 7.30h to get ready for the day.

i spend too much time on social media. what i need to do is narrow my intake down to a certain amount of time per day, then just hit up the most important outlets in that time and STOP wasting my valuable time elsewhere.

What a clever way to get us students involved in IvĂłn on Tech on an emotional level!!

As far as my habitats go, I would cook more rice so I wouldn’t end up eating potato/plantain chips out convenience when hunger comes along

This a very interesting topic, I am trying to wake up earlier to prepare myself better to work, instead of waking up and start my schedule, Instead of remaining a couple of minutes more on the bed I would try to wake up earlier to have a calmer breakfast and feel more awaken.

Instead of buying lunch everyday I have started cooking it myself and found out that it’s a lot more healthier and cheaper!

spend more time with family and especially my son, this is time that i will never get back

Working out more often could translate to better thoughts, willpower and motivtation for me personally.

Stop watching television start learning new skill with the extra time

I’m perfect and don’t need to change anything

My method of studying is not the best. I usually study for hours 3,4 or 5 and then I go a week or two or three without studying at all. It is super gratifying when I do study but I find that I do not retain much. So my plan is to study 1hr each day 6 days a week. I want to set this a baseline so if i feel like I can do more I will and on days were my schedule is all over the place I can still have at least 1hr of studying done. I think I will feel much better in the long run and have an actual routine/ habit of studying established.

:joy: teach me your ways

I could turn my phone off for a day to focus on “If I only had time” projects

Going to bed 30 minutes earlier. This will help me get more rest which could translate to better decision making on a daily basis (packing my lunch in the morning, making my breakfast tea at home instead of at the cafe etc.)

In terms of financial - Instead of buying a car if it is possible for me to use local transport which shall be cheaper then I shall do the same to save money to buy a car at later stage of my life when I am financially good.

I could spend less time laying in bed after waking up and exposing myself to natural sunlight as soon as possible so I have more focus and energy to dedicate to enriching myself.

Continuing the discussion from Activity Lesson 2

I will change my morning routine to include a prioritisation of the 3 most important things to achieve in that day so on the longer term I will have a new habit developed.

I do pretty well as far as choosing delayed gratification instead of instant.
What needs to improve is to choose to use what little free time there is more usefully.
Three things I want to accomplish and need to put more time into:
Godliness
Music and
Learning

I recently started meditating every morning and keeping a diary by writing every night before I go to sleep. I already started feeling its impact on my daily performance and sleeping qualiy.

Aspect of my life to change: Study Procrastination

Studying has always been a struggle for me, especially when the subject matter had little meaning or was of little consequence to me and my goal(s). I would always find myself doing something else more enjoyable (high time preference).

Learning about blockchain and cryptocurrency is far more enjoyable than schooling of my past. However, the self-discipline of sitting down at the computer and learning (low time preference) can remain a challenge.

So, if I am to achieve the understanding and proficiency I desire, and if I am to have a hope to eventually carry on a decent conversation with Saifedean Ammous or Michael Saylor of MicroStrategy, I should forgo the temptation to watch television reruns of “The Love Boat” followed by other old episodes of “Fantasy Island.”

My best advice to achieve low time preference: Procrastinate tomorrow!

Propose a change you could make to one of your habits, that would reduce your time preference from high (instant gratification) to low (delayed gratification) time preference. It could relate to any aspect of your life (financial, diet, exercise, relationships or education).

Stop smoking. It will save my health, money, and time spent during the smoke break. Accumulated savings I can invest in course like Moralis Academy and earn more money in future
