A change that I have made lately is to spend more time that i would normally spend working out on studying. When I finish this academy and get a job where I can work from home then I will have more free time time to get back into the gym and not work a dead end job. PS I also am eating less due to the fact that I am so busy. Its working out great so far!
Cook more meals, as opposed to buying ready-to-eat meals: if I buy mince, pasta, veges, herbs spices and take the time to cook them, I get three dinners (freeze two & eat one) but if I buy a pie it costs more & doesn’t provide for any other nights dinner. This is a change I’ve made at home and stuck with - this and the equivalent changes I’ve made every night have meant my grocery bill has gone down significantly.
In regards to dieting, I could reduce my time preference by abiding by my diet’s restrictions during the week days and having a “cheat day” on the weekend (Friday or Saturday).
At the moment my diet is pretty good. However, I do allow myself a take away once a week to reward myself for eating healthy, perhaps i could stretch this to two weeks instead. The delayed gratification would be better for my health and better for my pocket!!
Isolate a single goal, finishing one goal at a time instead of having too many and not complete one.
one change i could make is to water my plants with rain water rather than city water. After watering my plants i get gratification that they will grow and have what they need to thrive. By changing to using rain water, i would have to fill a water can and water the plants having to go back and forth. This will take longer but be more beneficial for my plants, my soil, and myself by going that extra mile. The delayed gratification always feels better in the end.
I would propose a change for my own behavior when it comes to taking profit on my altcoin investments. However this would be improving my time preference from low to medium. I am not taking profits properly, thinking more gains will come in the future even though I feel instant gratification when something has gone 200-400% up. Setting my time preference to medium here would help me lock in some of my gains.
If one of my meetings or study sessions gets delayed, that doesn’t mean I have to take time off or do whatever I want. It means I get to do something that educates or benefits me in the future, rather than taking more of what I want because I have delayed time.
Not buying supernumerary useless stuff that i dont need nor gonna use in the near or far future just because I got some extra money. I learn slow, but when I do, it sticks, luckily, now the money flows to crypto.
Propose a change you could make to one of your habits, that would reduce your time preference from high (instant gratification) to low (delayed gratification) time preference. It could relate to any aspect of your life (financial, diet, exercise, relationships or education).
Change the after lunch forty winks for a good workout, would increase exercise levels.
One hour of cycling every two days allows me to live in healthier life and save a lot of money for treatment in the future.

I will stop putting to much on my plate at one time. Thus freeing my time for more study. I watched a video posted here in the replies Mini Habits This is an amazing way to fine tune living well.
I need to make time in the evening after work to prepare food and do meal prep for meals during the day while I work. I am self-employed in the construction industry right now and am spending a ridiculous amount of money on 2 to 3 meals a day because I work a lot of hours. I have the option to make time for myself instead of work all the time but I am a workaholic to the extreme. I would save a lot of money and contribute to a healthy lifestyle if I did this but just cant seem to get myself to work a healthy schedule.
Some of the changes I have made to achieve delayed gratification have been: 1. watching less TV and sports and investing more time in studies (IoT courses) 2. Saving money by cooking more healthy food instead of eating out.
Before answering people with an answer that might make another enemy take some time to work out emotions and give thought to an answer or if an answer is even needed at all.
I could start meal prepping again. saves me money, time and helps me stay healthier but I have to put a few hours in at a time to save it later.
As said in last article, that the more we do something we thought of getting licence to negate that activity whether its eating habit, financially.
For my case i am from last year trying to acquire multiple life skills, started saving more even my salary has increased 10 or 20%,taking care of health without eating too much.

I could definitely eat better and exercise more. Both would effect my physical and mental health positively which in turn would help me achieve my goals quicker.
