Activity Lesson 2

I could spend more time exercising to feel better and increase my health wellness. The instant gratification I could lose would be eating the delicious calorie and carb loaded foods I want right now that make me feel good and save them as a reward after reaching my exercising goals.

When my salary increased, as you mentioned all my expenses have also increased. Currently I am focusing to spare and invest more. Try to spare a decent amount in every month and invest it e.g. cryptocurrencies or any assets that can store of value.

Not ordering take out food and meal prep in advance so food does not go to waste.

Study at least one hour per day for personal improvement.

Propose a change you could make to one of your habits, that would reduce your time preference from high (instant gratification) to low (delayed gratification) time preference. It could relate to any aspect of your life (financial, diet, exercise, relationships or education).

I will spend 1 hour more pre time I log into the Tech Academy.

To listen more than talk.
To buy when the market is down.
To think five times before selling an asst.
To sell the assets with confirmed losses.
To walk 30 minutes each day.
To eat more vegetables and fruits.
To control my anger.
To take responsibility and ask others to take their responsibilities.
To think how to increase my assets.
To control my feelings when the Crypto market is down.
To take care of my family and spend more time with them.

I will not eat pasta because everytime I do, I gain weight the next day. So to loose weight and get my weight lose to it’s ATH. I’m gonna cut the pasta.

A change I could make to one of my habits that would reduce my time preference from high gratification to low would be to limit my trading windows to 2 hours per day. I find that when I trade throughout the day, I often lose money and waste time that could be spent learning…plus the markets don’t move as much during the middle of the day as they do at the beginning and end.

Eating only at home

In the last three months I did a lot of these. Going to bed by midnight every day to have enough sleep rather than binge watch another Netflix show. Watch a video per day minimum about blockchain (well, that’s how I got here , walking an extra round around the block, etc.

I already get up earlier in the morning to work on Ivan on Tech Academy. I have tried a few times to get up an hour earlier to exercise before jumping online to the Academy. I then say that I can exercise after work but the evenings are too full. I should reduce some sleep in the morning to exercise at least 30 minutes as I see muscle reduction. I am only using my brain and not my body, which is an imbalance and will have a long-term negative effect. In the long-term, it will have been better for me to focus on a healthy body too.

I could use my bicycle to do my errands in town instead of a car. It would take a bit longer, but I would get healthier at the same time as saving money.

The easiest change for myself would be to work set hours, Being self employed the flexibility I have also leads to indiscipline. That HAS to change.

I could exercise more (i.e basically none to 5 days a week) - this would reduce my instant gratification of sitting on my bum all day and enjoying being lazy to being a healthy future fitter version of myself i.e delayed gratification.

Waste less time on watching TV in the evenings and instead use this for education or physical training.

I quit smoking around July last year. I realized that after I quit smoking, I save money and also I save so much time for standing and smoking. And also I might save money from Life insurance and health insurance in the future.
