Activity Lesson 2

I could make my own coffee at home instead of always buying it at the local coffee shop. I would increase my financial wealth in the long term and also learn a new skill. I could even learn more about coffee and become more knowledgable. The one problem with this is that I like to support local businesses.

I go to Starbucks coffee too often, 5-6 days a week. Even though I only get regular coffee 90% of time and not the even more expensive deluxe drinks, I could easily save big amounts of money both monthly and annually by making coffee at home. Plus I would save money on the gas and time involved. :face_with_monocle:

Speculating on the price increase of bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies, for that matter, to hopefully increase ones wealth, which is presently measured in the metric of USD.(a failing fiat currency) instead of fully understanding the value of the underlying technologies and waiting for its true value to be revealed.

Short term profit taking Vs Long term dollar-cost averaging accumulation holdings (HODL)…as a store of value…

One of my habits that could be adjusted is my eating out habit. If I were to put time to create a meal and utilize what I have already purchased, my health, and culinary skill would improve. By giving myself more time and choosing to make my own meal rather than dine out, I would be reducing my high time preference to a lower time preference.

Every time I go to youtube to educate my self I get distracted by BS videos (funny, UFC, animals and so on), I need to be more self disciplined and concentrate on my task.

Determine what is causing me to crash mid morning. Need to understand what is imbalanced in my life that is making me so tired. If I can get past this, I would have more productive time during the day. Will start going to bed earlier and not consuming YouTube videos before falling asleep.

Sleep early (binge watching on movies and other distraction) to wake up early, have more time for exercise and other beneficial stuffs

avoiding consuming distructive things like alcochol,i’ts expensive , invest in myself , invest in my relationship with family.

  1. The urge to eat out. Food is cheaper and healthier when cooked at home. So cooking at home has delayed gratification whereas eating out has a more immediate gratification and costs more.

I’d save more money and eat healthier if I cooked more instead of eating out, but cooking takes time and fast food is well…fast.

I can reduce my sugar intake to be in better shape, health, and save money. Perhaps I could save the money I’d spend on each dessert to which I say no.

Stop playing computer games that cost money and time, or watching news on TV and spend the freed up time learning about crypto.

Instead of eating out at upscale restaurants a few times a week (high time preference) I could limit the amount once a month thus freeing up more investment capital (delayed gratification).

A habit change to help lower my time preference would be to cook more at home. It’s very easy to have something delivered now days with door dash or uber eats, or to go through a drive through and get fast food. By investing in the skill and time it takes to cook, I can avoid the instant gratification of getting food quickly and end up cooking and eating something way healthier.

I could wake up everyday at 6. To start learning a new skill instead of watching youtube.

High gratification in dating would be to blast all you have early on, sell your magnificent persona, buy lots of presents and invest great amounts of time. In opposition with delayed gratification time you would stick with your natural personality, save the presents for better occasions and give away your precious time moderately.

Look around the house and find out things I really don’t need and stop spending money on them. Instead use the money to grow my savings and investments.

I could seek certifications that would make me more marketable to potential employers once i graduate college

I’m really trying to quit smoking, so I can make sure there is a future me.
