After playing around with both protocols. I got to say that Compound was my prefered lending & borrowing protocol becuase it was more user friendly and provided a higher APY when lent out vs the Aave protocol.
Since I took a long break from courses, Kovan is not used anymore, so it was a bit tricky to test. Aave was fine, worked well with sepolia testnet and they have their own faucet. But Compound is using the deprecated goerli testnet and finding any information about how to use it was difficult as well finding a faucet that works.
Both seemed easy to use once it is actually working. But the difficulty of setting up the testnet with Compound put me off. So I prefer Aave because of that reason.
We’ve come late to the party I believe. A few of these sites don’t work.
