I like a lot of what he has to say but to me, as of late he seems to be getting very paranoid. I am not to much into the conspiracy theory side of things.

@jel111 John, paranoia is only bad if it is ultimately unfounded. I didn’t have time to watch the whole video, I am supposed to be studying with Ivan’s class. I just read today that the bitcoin pizza guy felt that Satoshi was paranoid too but he felt given time it was justified. McAfee may be feeling the stress of bumping heads with the government and general crazies without proper boundaries. His money makes him a target as well. Also, he is getting older so we could be seeing the start of mental decline due to age, or the other mental decline that age brings —the “I dont give a f***, Im too old for this s***” decline. Its a real thing.

Gender has absolutely nothing to do with this, I’d suggest leaving that out of comments in future.
On topic: Since John feels the need to charge 120,000 USD / per tweet, to shill coins without owning up to the fact that he is paid to post about them he has lost any and all credibility he may (or may not) have had in my opinion. Like him or don’t (I’m indifferent) just follow his advise with caution, he may say a lot of things that are true, but he’s also paranoid and keep in mind that he is being paid to say some of the things he says, so he’s far from unbiased.

Ivan i agree he may took money to promote coins , but he has a lot of experience and
also i don`t agree that if some person is old mean he lost his mind.
I think we must respect old and more experienced members of community.
I agree that we must respect people, young or old, male or female.
I’m not saying he has lost his mind, just because he’s old. I’m simply indicating that he is being paid to voice an opinion, which means that a lot of his statements become questionable (not just shilling coins on twitter); this is irrespective of his age and gender. He has a large following by nature of being the founder of McAfee, with that comes responsibility and he has abused that.
Accepting money to shill coins just because he has fame and the reach and not telling people that he is paid to do so makes him a questionable character in my book.

In the beginning of his shilling he didn’t mention he was being paid but he did announce it after a while. He also has distanced himself from his phone project which was probably them just using his name.

iodevnet_dave, words have weight and I don’t know if you realized it or not that your comment could have hurt my feelings and made me feel like not only are my ideas “lesser than” but I as a person am intrinsically wrong. You said what you said in a nice way so I don’t think you meant to make me feel bad, on the contrary, you were inviting me to converse more and in fact I doubt you would want any other women who participates in this forum to read your post, misinterpret the intent and all of a sudden feel put down by just being a woman and possibly as a result mentally shut down and self select out of the conversation. Feel free next time to just ask me if I thought deep enough about the ideas proposed, it would challenge me to do so and I love a challenge!
Saying this, I would hope that you would agree with me that a lack of diversity in thought and ideas from the lack of diversity of people in this space is hindering technology and blockchain. Everyone should have a voice especially when it comes to talking about McAfee, lol.
And, surprisingly it does matter that I am a woman, fun fact about me: Only 25% of IT professionals are women, less than 7% of women are in crypto, only 3% of IT professionals are black women and INTJ women (my personality type influencing my ideas) are less than 1% of the women in the world. I share these statistics with you because I like talking to people who are different than me (and trust me, given these statistics I would be willing to bet that almost everyone on this forum is different than me). Given that, lets talk about McAfee
I love McAfee, especially his passion. I agree/partially agree with a lot of what he says and in fact if you have a chance to read some of my previous posts, you will see some of my ideas match his. I believe that blockchain can further enable a surveillance state AND industry (Yes the US government and its corporations are included) to be more intrusive in our lives and can be used to exert control over the population via deep knowledge. Including the work being done in artificial intelligence, I agree that a currency war, a technology/financial “space” race, a war for power and financial control on an individual, national and global level is raging around us. To be involved in crypto/da is to be a part of this movement. I also believe via technology and blockchain that we can create a better world that is more inclusive and fair for everyone including the government (John may disagree with this). One idea I did not agree with in McAfee’s speech was his concept of immutable truth. Like a database, garbage in = garbage out. If lies get add to the blockchain then the blockchain is simply an immutable history of lies. It is my hope that we figure out the bigger problems that are associated with but still surround/are outside of blockchain as well. Anyways, these are just a few of my thoughts, and whether you agree with my ideas or not, it is nice being able to talk ideas to another fellow crypto enthusiast.
My reaction to answer on the posts was cos of this i can`t agree on that.
No blockchain give you power your opinion to not just be deleted by someone.That the power of dapps and i hope EOS will make that possible.
For example if you are genetic engineer and you discover how people will live forever you post your video on youtube ( centralize service ) then your video will be deleted after 1h.
On decentralize ecosystem powered by blockchain your video will stay forever no one will have power to delete it! or they need to shutdown entire internet.
