What is Moralis: Moralis provides a single workflow for building high-performance dapps. It’s an infrastructure upon which web3 applications are built. Web3 application can be a website, wallet, game, or mobile app that somehow interacts with the blockchain(at least one component). It can read or write info on the blockchain. Moralis provides the tools that developers need to build a web3 application. Without Moralis, a developer would need to build from scratch even a simple login for months. Developers can either build themselves and spending a lot of money and time, or use Moralis and they can do it very quickly. Moralis supports different platforms and chains. Moralis is cross-chained, so developers don’t have to worry about the technical differences between different blockchains.

What is web3:
It’s all about ownership. It’s programable ownership rights. You can own a digital asset and we can set properties. Anyone can program assets, money, moneyflows, and exchanges. It’s the biggest financial sandbox for developers. It’s transparent and cannot be removed once it’s on the blockchain, and the idea is that you own something and not big corporations.

Web3 is a new web scheme, based on blockchains, that enables digital ownership. Before, on web2 big companies really owned our digital data/assets, but now this is changing with this digital ownership. That also creates value for those assets enabling digital collectibles or money

Before understanding what Moralis is, a pre-requisite is to know what Web3 is. Web3 is basically is a new way to interact with the internet. A web3 application (web app, mobile app, or game) is an application which interacts with a blockchain. Web3 gives the possibility for the users to have full ownership over their digital assets, and also gives the possibility for anyone to program these digital assets :money_with_wings:

Moralis is basically an infrastructure/framework on top of which web3 applications can be built easily and more cheaper. Moralis provides the tools and the basic building blocks such that you do not have to spend time and money implementing this basic infrastructure, and in consequence you can focus more on the actual functionality of your app.

Moralis as a technology is a developer ecosystem which provides a platform for developers who are working on decentralised applications (dapps) to interact with different blockchains (crucial) and different platforms.

Think of it as an operating system on top of different hardware/CPU, the developers don’t have to interact with the hard disk or printer…etc themselves.
