ah, i was really excited about this, and it supposedly worked for KOVAN, but when i went back to the dashboard it showed zero balance of kovaneth… so i tried again and got the same result despite both times receiving a confirmation that it had worked…
kept trying later because even though it said 0 there, my metamask wallet was fuller and fuller… (i didn’t try brave wallet with the kovan eth setup)
when i went (on both Brave and Opera) to oasis.app/conect to connect my metamask wallet, i got “Browser etherum provider and network URL param do not match!” … because i forgot to use the very specific link! -> https://oasis.app/borrow?network=kovan
then when i reloaded i noticed an oasis app installer, which i used and realized it was accessing my computer directly, so i quickly aborted… i did not catch this warning in the course, although i realize it’s an old course, so i’ll check the new one and maybe become more familiar with things…
anyway finally got around to opening a vault (no longer CDP) and as posted by @RUsokovich before me, the gas fees are insane, and kovan faucet will not let you get that much out per day, so this project would take like 10 days to complete… obviously not worth waiting.
but instructive nonetheless!
