Uniswap never working for me :-(

HI Everyone!
I need help! I recently setup Metamask (not connected to Hard Wallet yet) and sent a little bit to try to use it with Uniswap.

First of all, everytime I switch on the PC, metmasks gives me an error after inputting the password, after a while it connects and show my balance.
When I open Uniswap, it shows as connected to Metamask (i can see the account on top and clearly says “connected”) but 9 of out of 10 times there is no balance information next to ETH, therefore I can not proceed to exchange ETH into anything. A persistent “Insufficient liquidity for this trade.” message is shown below the pair swap.
Third point, I can’t find any token by pasting the contract addess which I usually cut and paste from Etherscan.io I brielfy managed to do so at my first attempts!

I think I did everything according to rules but so far really no luck. On Sunday, even Uniswap.exchange could not be loaded on to Brave. Ah yes, I am using Brave and VPN.

Anyone had similar issues? I am completely stuck! I can refresh the pages 1000 times and same result! Please help!

Some of these issues I’ve seen.

  1. Id try re-installing metamask.

  2. the insufficient issue sometimes comes up especially if the coin is new, try toggleing between V1 & V2 in the top right hand corner. You may also get price impact too high warnings etc… adjusting the quantity sometimes trying with smaller batches helps.

  3. Double check you definitely have the right contract. It sometimes sticks. I’ve noticed it. Not often, but it happens.

Thank you for your answer, I have indeed tried a lot of things, reinstalling, toggling v1/v2, even trying weth rather than eth. I ll give it a go with Chrome as well. I need to get this done and will go through till I manage it!
but to start, I have to solve metamask, not normal it does not even show. by the way, even with BAND i get the insufficient liquidity.
I will check again with the contract. have a good one!

I finally managed, I had to reinstall metamask again. After swapping, then, I had to reinstall it again as the tokens I swapped and manually added did not show up. I was freaking out. Now, i finally can go to sleep knowing that I added some skills to my set. and ready for next: using hard wallet with metamask…thank you!
