  1. Based on Section 2, ‘The Alleged CryptoNote/Bytecoin Story’, when was Bytecoin released ? : In April, 2012, they released Bytecoin.

  2. Based on Section 4, ‘Indisputable Facts’, when was CryptoNote v2.0 actually released? : According to that, the v1 whitepaper PDF was created on 10/04/2014, and the v2 whitepaper was created on 13/03/2014.
And yet both of these documents were then modified in the past (when they were signed).

  3. Based on Section 7, “Layer after Layer’, why was Bitmonero/Monero successful when other Bytecoin forks weren’t ? : The early launch date and how unfamiliar anyone was with creating a genesis block and working in completely undocumented code, that thankful_for_today is/was part of the CryptoNote developers. There are (6 or 7?) plus a bunch of other people contributing code meaning that they’re sanity checking each other.

:one: Based on Section 2, ‘The Alleged CryptoNote/Bytecoin Story’, when was Bytecoin released?

It is understood that Bytecoin was released on April 2012.

:two: Based on Section 4, ‘Indisputable Facts’, when was CryptoNote v2.0 actually released?

They assert that the CryptoNote v2.0 whitepaper was released before v1.0, on March 2014, to allow them to take advantage of an 82% premine before being ‘discovered’ by the public.

:three: Based on Section 7, “Layer after Layer’, why was Bitmonero/Monero successful when other Bytecoin forks weren’t?

The author believes that the Bytecoin/CryptoNote team decided to flood the market with Bytecoin forks once the community decided to make distance with the project.

It’s believed that the developer of Bitmonero was not associated with the CryptoNote team, and therefore people were more comfortable gravitating to that project.

It was shortly after forked to Monero, and maintained by a different set of core developers.
