what i don’t understand (at 10min mark) is when Alice uses her private key to digitally sign the message to Bob, HOW does Bob know it is Alice using her private key, as Bob doesn’t know the private key owner?

Alice signs a message with her private key. Bob can then verify Alices signature using her public key. :slight_smile:

thanks for the follow up @Alko89… the process makes sense to me, i just can’t get my head around how the public key can ID /verify the private key…

:sweat_smile: yes cryptography is no small matter, people study it their entire lives and still don’t get half of it
