Keep learning in the DeFi space

Thanks a lot for this interesting course, Amadeo! An amazing new thing I learned is the way we can directly interact with the contract even if its website is down. :+1: :+1:

Great course dude, enjoyed it alot, so much to explore and get involved in, even that blows my mind, im feeling like i dont know exactly which way to turn at the moment but will keep my deep diving mind in action as i go through various projects. i did have my intrest sparked with the crazy yield farming explosion at the end of summer but at that point i was utterly clueless to what was happening so going to have a good look into this avenue in the short term to straighten this up in my mind…thanks again

the course is very exciting, but I still have some doubt about it. If I have to put bigger collateral to have smaller borrow what is the sense of it???

Start building and understand what you are doing first before investing.

Really impressed when listening to your content thanks a lot!

Going for 201 tomorrow.

I am interested in staking Kyber but do not want to be part of every decision making process (voting).
Is there a good list of addresses that I can delegate my vote to? I can see what addresses that have voted on the prior proposals but if I understand it correctly from your lesson on DEXs, I will not be rewarded if I don’t vote.
So I guess, I first need to find someone who votes on each proposal and then verify that I trust they“ll make the right vote (according to me). Do you have any tips on this matter?

Thank you Amadeo for a very informative course. A lot of content. I had to go through it twice to pick up details that I missed the first time. Some ideas for applications are starting to bounce in my head. It seems that to me that pooling crypto into something like mutual funds but without the fees would be very attractive to investors.

Yes, this is exactly what https://defi.crescofin.ch/ does be sure to check them out or check out: https://deficapital.com/

I have a licensed finance company in Malaysia & would like to build a DeFi saving account using maker DAO or compound. later on will automate lending process and matching lender with borrowers. and finally for real estate loans .

I built a Web 2.0 application for a specific insurance product over 7 years ago…automating a very cumbersome, people / paper based product into a simple web application.

This product is perfect for a blockchain based DeFi solution. I would love to discuss further with some builders / entrepreneurs.

Some Defi projects that I have been personally eyeing are Aave, Synthetix and 0x. Just learned about Compound and Maker, I will surely be looking into those 3.

Hello,

Cool project I studied last week: Venus Protocol on the Binance Smart Chain. Venus Protocol is a merged of MakerDAO and Compound  You supply some collateral and then you can both borrow and mint some stablecoin (VAI stablecoin, but could be more options in the future). And even if you use it as a pure CDP, i.e. minting stablecoin, you earn interest on your collateral, which is I think not the case on MakerDAO.

Cheers

So this course took me a little longer than I anticipated due to the fact that I am just learning how to do transactions. I now have my ledger set up and connected to my metamask and have interacted with some DeFi Dapps that are really cool! I can see this is just the beginning of a new financial system that is really exciting. The fees are still way out of control for the average user to handle, but hopefully ETH 2.0 will get that worked out.
Right now I’m just HODLing my bitcoin but next year when things are really heating up I do plan on taking a DeFi loan for some capital to build a business of my own and now I Know How! Thanks!

It is a marathon not a sprint keep on learning and building.

It is getting more challenging. Amazing course. I am getting convinced that this is the route I will be focusing in the crypto space. Your explanation is making it all happening. Thank you very much Amadeo.

I am looking at building something on EOS as a building block. As I understood, it makes ten thousand transactions per sec. This is much more transaction and faster processing time than Ethereum. What is your take?
Looking forward to DeFi 201.

This space is great! I can’t wait to learn more to understand how I can contribute to this industry.

I like zerion,io very much, specially the possibility to see all the transactions in History.

Great day to be in the crypto space! BTC just hit it’s all time high… hodling for now… will defiantly invest in one of the lending pools in the near future!
Thank you again for the course. Learned a lot, and will revisit.

Thanks again Amadeo, must say that your course really gives good starting point to DEFI, you learn just enough to understand the concept, but of course you provide with every lesson so much of additional sources to explore. Good job.

My opinion at the end of this basic course is positive. DEFI will grow, it is the future of many services and finances, but not yet mature. As an example of this would be simple locking your DAI into some kind of savings account to gain interests. With all the risks is still relatively risky to do it, the 8% seems like a nice return, but then again your Fx is based on Fiat. So on the other hand you can just hold BTC, less risk, more potential and you own your keys. That said, there are probably many use cases still to be discovered for DEFI area. DEXs are great, just gas is a bit expensive lately, let’s hope it will change with ETH2.0 after some time.
