Hi everyone, my name is Jay from New york. Have been in finance for over a decade, started to learn and got involved in blockchain space about a year ago. I very much appreciate what Ivan has been doing on his youtube channel, passionately sharing what he knows consistently, day-in-and-out, and importantly, explain things from a programmer’s perspective - which is sorely needed in this space. I look forward to get hands dirty, and to learn more on dapp building through this course.

Like investment in many other areas, to be well informed and to be really good at investing in crypto space, it demands hard-work, insight (on tech/business/people) and discipline. Hopefully will get a chance to know and learn from more similar-minded friends in this forum too.

Hey Guys & Gals, I’m Tom but everyone calls me TG. I got into crypto back in 2014. Started buying BTC and eventually got into a few other coins. Now i have a pretty diversified portfolio.
I got into this course because i wanted to learn how to code for a project idea that i have. I started with a developer and worked for about 2 years and spent around $30,000 only to be left with nothing in the end. Since that time the whole Crypto revolution has taken off and now i want to be able to build my DAP (or at least be able to understand what i’m looking at) and launch my project to the world. I’m very excited and have followed Ivan since the first part of 2018.
Can’t wait to get CODING!!!

My name is Jan and I,m from the Netherlands (south)
It makes me very happy to see the whole world in this chat.

I have my own business making home-designs, and a couple of hours a day I keep myself busy with Crypto daytrading.
A year ago I entered the crypto space and try to learn every day about the technologie behind this all. very, very fascinating.

I have absolutely NO experience in progamming, so it will be a bumpy ride for me.
Good to know that you want to help if necesarry

I’m Nahuel Iván from Argentina :argentina: currently working as a full stack web developer interested in switching my career to blockchain development. I also invest in projects almost since I first heard of bitcoin around 2015.
I follow Ivan for around a year or so and he has been very informative for me, always discovering and learning new things about the space thanks to him and team.

Super stoked to be apart of this course and community. I first learned of bitcoin in the summer of 2016 and I’ve been obsessed ever since. Ivan seems to be a very neutral party in the blockchain ecosystem, and I’m actually more excited to learn the programming basics vs the smart contracts. I have light programming skills in SQL and python, but nothing that could get me hired as a job. Hopefully after this course I can be developing smart contracts as well as everyone else here and pivot my career to this exciting space. Thanks!!

Hi All,

My name is Brian and I am a stay-at-home father/hobbyist programmer with a highly underutilized degree in computer science.

Cryptocurrencies have been of interest to me since I first discovered Bitcoin back in 2014, but unfortunately, I have not had the opportunity to do any in-depth coding related to blockchain.

Now that my kids are getting a little older I am looking to refresh my coding skill set and hopefully find my place within the crypto space by either obtaining employment within the industry or by starting my own project built on top of either Bitcoin or Ethereum. That is why I decided to signup for Ivan’s Smart Contract Programming course.

Anyway, I’m really looking forward to the course and to getting to know the community here.

Hi everyone, my name is Fred and I live in Canada. Just started a new job as a junior analyst in statistics and I’m really curious and motivated to try out this course with you!

First of all because I’ve always had an interest about computers and technology, even tried a diploma in programming when I was 18, but things went a bit different for me… blame music and rock n’ roll/metal for that :smiley: Music became really important for me since then, and I’ve even made it my second job which is part time music teacher.

Secondly, the main thing that made me try this kind of online lessons is that it would give me an opportunity to see if programming is made for me and because it would be around the topic of blockchain and cryptocurrencies, which I’m interested since 2013. Having the opportunity to manage my time with this course, without going back to full time university, is the ideal way for me, for the time being, to try something new and hopefully, combining the useful and the enjoyable.

I’m Tory, a Canadian living and working in Bermuda.

I’ve been in technology for over 20 years, primarily in IT infrastructure and security. I’ve done a lot of scripting in languages such as powershell and python, but haven’t coded in java or c++ since university many years ago.

I’m looking to learn blockchain technology through practical application, hands in, in the trenches.

Thank you putting this course together Ivan. I think your approach, method, and ethos are all excellent for this community and I look forward to learning from you.

I believe blockchain in some form or another is going to transform technology and I’m keen to be involved. :slight_smile:
