Introduce yourself

Hi all, my name is Martijn, a 39 year old Dutchie :netherlands: living in New York City :us:. I studied computer science and artificial intelligence, became an entrepreneur and have been working as IT manager and consultant so far. I got into crypto in 2014, buying my first BTC. However, I’m more interested in the smart contracts and trustlessness of crypto. Also, although I used to program a lot, I’ve gotten a bit rusty as I’m more into management these days. This course is a great way for me to get back in the game, get hands-on and really understand what’s going on here.

Also, I’m looking for a related job in NYC, so if you have any leads…

Game on!

Hi all, my name is James, I am from Newcastle (England) and I am noob in the blockchain world. I have been in the technology world for years, but in December a friend introduced me to crypto and the more I researched about CryptoCurrency and blockchain technology the more excited I got about the potential possibilities and how revolutionary the blockchain technology is. I have registered on the course to enhance my programming knowledge, because I see my future in the new age of blockchain technology.

Hi everyone,

I’m Erik (31) from Slovenia currently self employed. Been web developer (PHP) for over 10 years. Most of the time I’m developing websites or stores but lately platforms for businesses. I created 7 android apps combined they have almost 6,000,000 downloads.

But now I’m starting to get fed up with websites and need some new challenges so probably Blockchain is next step

Last year I started to getting to know more about blockchain and invest in it, but for the Bitcoin I heard first time around 2012-2013 but I didn’t believe in project back then.

Live in Ecuador, South America. 4 worlds into 1 country. 40 years. Spanish and English speaker.
Totally newbie in programming but completely sure that this is the next disruptive moment in our lifetime, so, if there is a sudden steering direction change in our lives and careers, so be it.
Let´s embrace this opportunity while we live and can leave our footprint for the next generations.
I have too many ideas to implement, but so far I would LOVE to implement in south américa a totally transparent ELECTION BLOCKCHAIN ID PROCESS where everyone can double check if their votes were accounted as they initially did.
This is the only way to end the corrupt elections of tyrans and these assholes that have ruled our countries so far.

Good morning to all the community! My name is Jose I’m a venezuelan living in Peru at this moment. As many of you know my country is going through a rough time that’s why I’m here at this moment. I got into Crypto investment last year and after a lot of investigation into many blockchain projects I was amazed by the technology and how is going to revolutionize the world for the next years. I heard about bitcoin in the early years but i was not interested at that time (i know it was a fail) but I finally opened my eyes it was like an awakening. I’m a System Engineer so I used to program in my old jobs, in the past years I’ve worked on a manager level so I’m a little bit rusty on the programming side but I’m sure Ivan and Filip will help me get back on the wagon. After the course i will be looking for job opportunities in the crypto - blockchain area. Hope i get to know you all better, let me know if you need any help, I’m fluent in Spanish and I can defend my self in English and Portuguese jeje!

Cheers and good luck!

Jose

Hi Ivan and everyone,

My name’s Fernando. I’m originally from Mexico City, but I’ve lived in Los Angeles for 35 years now. I work in marketing, web development, and professional translation (English and Spanish), and became involved in the crypto space last December, just as the market was exploding.

I’m 60 (go ahead, laugh) and have always been an early adopter and avid learner of all things tech, so having watched several disruptive technologies emerge and take hold in my lifetime, I now recognize the tremendous potential of blockchain and cryptoassets.

Thanks in no small part to Ivan, I have decided to reinvent myself and dedicate the rest of my career to this technology and space. I hope to meet and get to know many of you, and learn together and maybe discover and develop opportunities together.

Best wishes!

José, tú como programador sugeriría que iniciemos también un forum derivado aquí mismo en español para que nos ayudes a los que no tenemos carreras de sistemas y realmente empezaremos desde cero.
