What is up guys and gals? My name is Nelson, I am currently in my quarter life crisis and super stoked to get started on this course.
I have been in the Blockchain and Crypto space since 2017 ever since I heard of Bitcoin and my parents got semi-rekt by it. Ivan was one of the first YouTubers that caught my attention with his unique face-to-face POV vids (haha).
During the disruption of the virus that starts with the letter “c” I was furloughed from work and it gave me a lot of time to myself. During this time I saw how this pandemic could lead to the acceleration of future trends such as remote work and the loss of many jobs in the retail sector. Oh, and the new monetary cycle of course!
Then it clicked. When these things come in to fruition why not be ahead of the curve and have a skill set that will be in high demand? Now I’m here with you guys. Wish me luck!

I am a musician/producer/audio engineer and I love problem solving and analysing data in different ways. I aim to expand my knowledge as much as possible and contribute to the crypto community.
I am am excited about the possible use cases and implementation of blockchain in healthcare, music, supply chains and provenance, as well as the future of Defi and borderless global payment infrastructure.

In university I studied animation and had a business in the field for 5 years.
My first interaction with block chain was 4 years ago when i got into Tezos as a long term investment. In the passed 3 years i’ve been listening to Ivan on tech and lately decided to enroll in the academy with development as my goal.

My career fulcrum has been advertising and marketing. I have way too many ideas but now with blockchain technology and defi, we can share the bounty. I don’t feel like I’m selling. I feel like I’m helping.
I’m currently obsessed by liquefying real estate and creating a way for people to finance, Refi and ultimately own their own shelter without a life of servitude to the bank…esp with the looming real estate buble.
Let’s fix this world!

My name is Ben and I live in the UK.
I’m new to the academy, I joined yesterday (22/06/2020) and it is most excited I have been in a long time about my career and I have not started yet, but the anticipation for what is to come is what excites me. I have been working as a Software Support staff for a few companies over the span of 13 years but never ended up being a developer or Software Engineer even though I came into the marketplace a BSc(H) Multimedia Engineering degree… Don’t ask why because I have no idea lol.
The Cryptocurrency movement is something that I have been following for the last 5 years (watching Ivan’s videos for the last 18 months) and I have invested in a few different cryptocurrencies which I’m currently HODLing but I want to be more involved because it seems to be all I think about so I thought it would be beneficial for me to use that passion and thirst to learn the technologies in greater depth and maybe in the future create my own solutions within the crypto space!
I look forward to learning more and being a part of this amazing community!

Hi everyone. My name is Dan. I live in Bucharest, Romania. I have been passionate about programming & building products since 2003 when I was in high-school and participated to a lot of software contests. I’ve never been an excellent programmer, but a good problem solver, builder. During and after the computer science university I have took on my first job as software developer in a very small company that had more of a startup vibe. It was fun and it lasted 5 years until I joined a friend’s startup in 2012. I helped in building the core technology of the product. In late 2014 it was sold to big company. Since 2015 I switched to management and grew an office from 20 people to more than 70 today, from software development center to product development center. Also steered my teams through another 3 acquisitions of the company that bought us. Every year I had to start over into making the business case on why to keep and grow the office. Fun times. I love helping my people and growing alongside them.
I had a good feeling about crypto starting with September 2017. I didn’t act fast enough, all exchanges were down and didn’t verify my account in due time, so when an exchange gave the green light, I ended up buying (not a lot) in December 2017 during the peak :)). I regret nothing and I didn’t panick. I was for the long term any way. I kept averaging in and reduced my buy average by more than 95%. I became obsessed with videos from this space since a few months back. I love Ivan’s channel and I am glad I found it. I want to learn more about trading, about trading algorithms, about the technology. I feel that I have fallen behind a lot in my technical knowledge, since I switched to management. I want to learn more about crypto, about crypto programming, about block-chain for business. My job takes a lot of my time and since recent times I also have a small one running after me around the house, but I feel like I need to get back on the horse.
I feel that the crypto wave has just begun (however would have been nice if I started learning a few years back :)), I feel that crypto is the next big thing and it is inevitable. I want to be on the wave, not below.
Looking into what the academy has to offer, it seems like a really good place to start. See you guys around!

I started a website/blog markshirecrypto.com back in 2019, and its been an unofficial side gig, but it’s been on the back burner for a few months now.
Been watching Ivan on Tech for many years now and glad to finally have joined the community officially.

Hi everyone. My name is Keith, from the UK, and i first came to crypto in 2017. I dabbled with trading bitcoin and a few coins and like most made some great mistakes but luckily “a rising tide lifts all boats” so i walked away with more than i started. The more i learned about bitcoin and how it would change the world however the more i started looking into how things work in the world around me. I went part time at work to allow more time to pursue this learning and I finally decided to get more involved with crypto and jumped on the Academy. Im pretty active - into rock climbing and calisthenics and studying just about everything.
