Hello! It’s great to join this community, to learn and share the new skills included in the courses. I am interested in understanding this new technology, primarily as an investment, but keeping into consideration the creation of a Dapp or beginning a startup.

Hello! My name is Ahmed, I’m a 16 year old Iraqi that lives in Norway. First off I want to tell a story on how I got involved in this space. It was 2012 and I was on my Ipad looking through YouTube and I saw some videos on Bitcoin talking about mining and how it is all online etc. I didn’t really dive deep into it as an 8 year old (:joy:) but nevertheless I returned back to it this year after I read books and watched lectures on the monetary system, money, currency and economics in general. After I got some knowledge on how the financial system worked I was led down the rabbit hole of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies again and now I felt an obligation to get involved, I understood how revolutionary blockchain and crypto has been and will continue to be for the world.

Other than having an immense interest in economics, blockchain and crypto I enjoy football and I also love comedy shows, love to laugh after a long day of hard work!

Good Afternoon, my name is Reuben Christopher Haynes. I have been in Technology since 1995. I actually first wanted to teach music. I still play the Horn and write but I had committed to myself to tech and worked in the back end building servers and running data centers. In 1998, I was there through Y2K and in 2001, everything became about risk management, security and infrastructure reliability. At that time I left the back office and went into Management - Project and Program Management for Infrastructure and Application Development. I have stayed in this field with its ups and downs. I purchased my first cryptocurrency in 2014 and did nothing with it. Then in 2017, I was a partner in a company that was going to launch a token and become an ambassador to help people understand crypto.

So this leads up to 2020. In late 2018, I got extremely ill with a rare condition and I lost everything. By Thanksgiving 2019, my wife passed away, I lost all my clients and I had no place to live. I was homeless.

So Christmas 2019, I just decided to change my life and do a RESET with my life. So I found a new client on March 9 and got back into crypto the morning of March 13, 2020 - I made my first big trade. I have the MCO Card and I have accounts with Uphold, Gemini, Coinbase and Binance.

So I now see the light and am shifting my focus to 100% Blockchain and will be diving right in.

So I am here to restart my business and start to realize my dreams and desires. So I am excited to learn and make a difference to my life and the world. I own BTC, ETH, ADA, MKR, PAXG and 15 other coins and want to understand how Digital Assets and Web 3.0 is going to lead the next technical revolution!

So Greetings from Schaumburg, Illinois (USA)

Hi there everyone. My name is Fred (and fredbob47 in the Forum).
I’ll be 73 in July and joined the Academy to prove “that you can teach old dogs new tricks”.

Following University in 1969 I flew airplanes in the USAF for 5+ years, then pursued an MBA and spent my career in the finance & securities business.

I have been dabbling in cryptos since early 2017 and I am excited about really delving into this field, not only for personal investment, but also to help others, including age-contemporaries, see and understand the value(s) in this evolving digital industry.

I look forward to interacting with all of you for our mutual enjoyment and development.

You brought me back to the good old days on newground  I used to animate in Flash, made a couple of websites in it too.

Hi Guys, I’m Matt. Have worked in front-end web design for a few years and have now found a perfect reason to get involved in back-end and more with web 3.

I found Ivan on YouTube after getting invested in crypto this halving and my eyes were opened to the untapped potential of blockchain and the use-cases.

I would like to take this opportunity whilst the market is new and build a proof of concept. And then start a blockchain consultancy aimed towards the food industry.

Thank you for this community Ivan!

Hello from… somewhere south of Lake Erie.

Here’s my very brief intro:

I do tech support for a living. After a bunch of layoffs last year I began taking an interest in the economy, investing, and preserving wealth/value of assets. Cryptocurrency and precious metals were a constant recurring theme so I purchased BTC, ETH, LINK, and XLM (93% between BTC and ETH) to hold long term. Confidence in those four seems to be very high so I went with the investment.

As time went by the importance of blockchain became more and more obvious. An interest in investing in cryptocurrency brought me here, but things are moving fast so the future is wide open as to where my blockchain education may take me. Thanks everyone!
