Hey, My name is Edgar. I’m Lithuanian. I have been studying cryptocurrency and blockchain technology for the last 6 months. Ivan on Tech is one of the channels I’m fallowing. I have no previous experience in IT and computers.
Because there is not much information about Crypto’s and Blockchain technology in Lithuanian, I actually started my own Youtube channel in Lithuanian language. I realised that it’s not one mans job. I’m growing and building the team around me. Thanks for inspiration Ivan! Hope meeting you one day

Aloha - I’ve been in business for around a decade at the time of writing this post; prior to that I taught Physics at high school & ran a remote observatory astronomy project based at the school.

I’ve been interested in technology since the age of 10, when I first read about how the laser worked, and blockchain technology fascinates me in terms of how it can be used to transform communities out of poverty.

I currently live in Bristol, England.

Hi Ivan
I am a fairly new newbie. Discovered bitcoin about six months ago and am an avid, obsessed bitcoin fan. I am an old duck still wanting to learn new stuff. I feel like I’ve got a ringside seat, watching history in the making. The closing of a chapter and the beginning of a very new book that’s 9 years old.
I come from a generation of obedient drones, - just learned enough at school to please the various masters of go nowhere jobs, to make enough money to continue being an old drone, with not much else to look forward to in the future.
Now I’m in a whole new world, of computer language I’ve never heard of, doing the basics with Tanmay Baksh, following you, Andreas Antonopolous and Gary Palmer Jnr of Minting Coins. Researching ICO’s, alt coins, white papers, exchanges, wallets, checking out Github to keep up with the various projects that developers and engineers are working on. Through all this, I’ve discovered Elon Musk, Marissa Mayer and various other ‘future’ thinkers that are making a huge impact on a global scale.
On the otherside of that coin, my garden has turned into a jungle, my housework is not at the top of my ‘to do list’ and I’m virtually an unsociable that no longer attends the Friday night drinkies, or the get together BBQ’'s. I’m too scared I’m gonna miss out on the next bit of learning/researching/exploring piece that falls into my inbox.
Not to sound too boring, I am lucky enough to live right by the sea or rather the estuary, where I should be setting my net for flounder and gathering shellfood - which is my favourite pastime. I live in a village of 60 households that want nothing to do with bitcoin and that’s ok with me, because I’ve still got too much to learn. New Zealand is far enough away from the populous, but close enough to stay in touch with the real world.
Now I have hope for the generations to come. They will have a much better future, where collaboration, sharing information and making crypto friends changes the whole dynamics of our world. I feel good that this is a better legacy than what I thought I would be leaving behind when its time for me to check out.
So among the many I need to thank - I’m grateful that you are out there on the otherside of the globe making the pathway to learning so accessible.
I applaud you for your committment to making the world a better place and may you receive many blessings for 2018.
Christine

Hi all!

My name is Oskar, I live in Stockholm. I have been conducting business in the media industry for 18 years and the digital media space for the last 15 years, starting out working for the big Nordic media houses and then as an entrepreneur, with some of Swedens biggest e-com entities the last 9 years, I have also invested in the Ad-Tech and Pub-Tech Industry. With that said I am not tech savvy at all, but you could perhaps call me business savvy, and I have a burning desire to learn more and a passion about this world changing phase we are going into, and I would love to combine my “old” digital business focused experience with this new horizon of possibilities and power it up with my obvious letter combinations, Oh and yes, I am a Hodler.

Thank you all, and Ivan in particular, I hope we have a great exchange here at the crypto pub

Cheers/Oskar

Hi Ivan and everyone!

My name is Marcus and I live in Vancouver, BC Canada (was born in Stockholm). I’m a .NET developer who is very interested in blockchain technology from both a developer and investing stand point. I originally started with watching Ivan’s YouTube to learn more about blockchain and Solidity. While wrapping my head around the tech side I started investing with buying my first LTC at $75 - needless to say it’s been an exciting ride so far! I love spending my time researching the different projects, coins and tech. I’m hungry to learn more about this new fantastic frontier that is the blockchain movement. This is a very exciting time to be alive!

Look forward to learning from everyone and sharing the passion,

  • Marcus

Hey Ivan and folks,

My name is Rafael. I’m Brazilian, currently living in Denmark (not too far from you Ivan).
I’m an entrepreneur, highly passionated about technology and a blockchain enthusiast. I worked in ecommerce for many years and I came in contact with Bitcoin in 2013, when studying about alternative methods to convey payments over trade in the internet.

I’m here to learn and connect with likeminded people. We are now on the speculation phase of the cryptos disruption and most people don’t seem to see beyond the speculation. The same scenario was in place in the 90’s with the introduction of the internet. I have faith blockchain will become mainstream and I’d like to help businesses adopt this technology in the near future, perhaps through the usage of Utility Tokens.

I’d like to contribute to the in forum as much as I can, and I’ll be following Ivan’s channel on youtube from now on.
