Introduce yourself

Hi, my name is James
I live in a small town in Pennsylvania, USA
I own a local massage and muscle rehab practice.
I want to learn more about the future of the internet. I used paid social media to grow my local business and but due to the current pandemic, my business was has been shut down for months. It’s been hard and very depressing at times. I saw Ivan youtube ad and it made me curios. I read the book called “life after google” blockchain was mentioned as one of the most trans formative technologies since the invention of the internet. I didn’t think it was possible to become a BD but when I saw Ivans vibe…I saw it was totally possible! So I’m here learning a new skill. Thank you Ivan for the support!

interested in tech, first computer was Vic20 with a whopping 5k ram and cassette reel storage system…lol, I then upgraded to Apple IIe, then the x86 PC series to Pentium and many since but have no idea how they classify them now. Went to university and professional school and entered the rat race chasing currency and the white picket fence…then blah, blah, blah and now I have exited from North America (USA and Canada), spent a little time in Ireland and now in Africa (Egypt) where the rest of my life as a mortal likely will be…new to blockchain, missed Netflix, I am not missing this technology as I understand its value despite having little understanding of how it works. I programmed in Basic for the Vic20, a little on the PET computers in High School, and one FORTRAN course in undergraduate university with punch cards (hated it so haven’t taken any formal training since)…then many moons later I have run into this academy and the excitement tantamount to waiting 8 minutes for my Pacman game to load on the Vic20 has returned with Blockchain and how I can merge my skills and experience with this technology in Africa…but I must admit it took me a 5 or so minutes just to figure out how to even introduce myself on this forum as this is my first forum ever, lol.

Hello Ivan,

My name is Frank Blume, and I have been a college professor of mathematics in the US for the past 25 years. Since times are currently uncertain, I am trying to learn some new stuff in case that I have to change careers. I got my first independent programming education about 37 years ago on a Sinclair computer with 48 K of RAM (it was very primitive but a lot of fun). After finishing my diploma (i.e. Master’s) at the Technical University of Berlin in 1990, I worked as a programmer for IBM in Berlin for about a year. Since the job wasn’t that great, I decided to get a Ph.D. in mathematics instead and left Germany for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where I had studied a few years earlier as an international exchange student. Subsequently, I did some research in entropy theory and mathematical physics and wrote several textbooks and also a couple of books on more philosophical topics at the interface of science, religion, and culture. I have worked with various programming languages (Basic, Fortran, a bit of SQL, CPL, C++, and Visual C++, some Python very recently, and PASCAL most prominently), but I cannot say that my programming skills are very up to date. By your standards, I am probably a hopeless dinosaur who doesn’t even own a smartphone (my wife owns one but I don’t—believe it or not). But then again, I have been following the developments in blockchain technology with great interest for the last four years, and in the course on probability that I teach at my college I even explain to my students the basics of the Satoshi whitepaper, and in particular, I show them how to derive the probabilistic law (mentioned in that paper) that guarantees the security of the bitcoin blockchain. I also started investing in crypto-currencies in late 2016 and have been a hodler ever since. Moreover, I chose to look into your educational service due to Bitcoin Ben’s recommendation, and just like Bitcoin Ben, I am a freedom-loving guy who hopes (probably naively) that decentralized ledgers can help to liberate humanity from the yoke of centralized banking.

Hey Guys, I’m Martin currently living in the UK.

Always been intrigued in the space, but never fully dove into it. Graudated from uni and was working as an IT sales rep until I got furloughed. Stuck at home, with all my free time, decided to find out what the crypto thing was about. Down the rabbit hole I go and now I’m convinced this is the future.

For anyone here, I believe now is the best time to get into the space. By the time this becomes truly becomes mainstream it will likely be too late. Learn as much as you can and get ahead of the competition.

Thanks to Ivan for the amazing content at Good Morning Crypto. Can’t wait to dive into the acadmeny

Im in construction at the moment and have been for the past 20 years, but am very interested into transitioning into blockchain technology. I saw Ivan on youtube and loved him from day 1. I believe in Ivan saying you don’t need to have any experience and so I’m here about to endeavour and learn a new skill. Ivan thank you for the motivation and your support!

Hi everyone and Ivan, I’m Josh from the UK.

I work as a software developer / data scientist (well, sort of). I’m actually one of those bad guys that writes code for the websites of enterprise organisations to collect your data for analytics and advertising purposes. :imp: I actually hate that part of my job and it’s a complete contrast to my interest in cryptocurrency and the blockchain which I love for it’s principles of decentralisation and privacy.

I’m here to learn as much as I can about crypto and blockchains so that I can pursue financial freedom through trading and investments as well learning blockchain development.

I’m currently studying for a data science degree alongside my full time job. I also love to code web applications, Node.js is my jam.

Great to be here!

HI Ivan and everyone in the community!

I came across Ivan on Tech while researching as I finally decided to get some knowledge on the blockchain and crypto and spend some time digging into it not simply reading articles I would understand in part. I have to say, I immediately said to myself: “this guy is so young, so passionate and so motivated, he is not your usual guy on the internet”. Something inside me resonated with that and I soon after felt so motivated myself to start something new and get new knowledge and invest in myself.
Coming from a financial background, I am aware of some aspects, concepts and dynamics but I completely lack of technical/coding knowledge. I now wake up everyday with some additional motivation to learn.
A few days ago I would have never said I would be back to studying whenver I have a free moment! And here we are, subscribed to the Academy with a few goals, some of which are to broaden my horizon, improve out of the box thinking, learn some new skills and why not potentially get ideas for career development in a fast changing world.

Thank you Ivan and good luck to all of you!

Hey everyone, Anar here from New York! I started off as an iOS developer but I always had an interest in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

During my sabbatical, I decided to go into Ethereum smart contract development and learned Solidity. I’ve participated in hackathons such as ETHDenver 2018 and 2020 as well as HackMoney which just ended last week. I also worked as a blockchain trainer for an online company where I lead lectures remotely and in-person in places such as Singapore, the Philippines, and Australia. I’d be happy to help and share my knowledge wherever and whenever I can.

Look forward to meeting as many of you as I can!

Hi I’m David,
My wife, who is older and wiser than me wanted us to buy Bitcoin in 2014. Three years later we finally got started!
Ivan is amazing and I thank my lucky stars he speaks in English, my native language, because I’d be lost otherwise!
I hope to learn as much as possible while I work full time and spread the news about crypto to people close to retirement like me so more older people can have a chance when things really fall apart in today’s financial world.
Thanks all, and thanks Ivan!
David

Couldn’t agree more—and it’s not only the banking system that is set up and designed to control us. The system as a whole with all of its subsystems (medical systems, educational systems, political systems, economic systems, etc.) is designed in that way as well. These systems could probably be useful and could be redeemed if only they were informed and inspired by a spirit of liberty and love. But the way they are currently set up, I just find them annoying or ridiculous depending on my mood. Why can we not live on this planet in freedom and authenticity and simply be human? That’s all I want. Is that asking too much?

Hi everyone,

I my name is Shaun, I live in Maryland, USA. I got my bachelors degree in Information Technologies, I now work for a CPA firm, and I am currently taking courses to take get my CPA. I have been following and investing in crypto for the past couple years, and would like to learn more about blockchain. Being a middle man between accounting and technologies at my firm, I feel learning more about blockchain could give us a heads up in this emerging market space, at the same time giving me a competitive edge for job advancement. Looking forward to the Webinar Ivan is doing later today, and can’t wait to start digging into the courses.

Hello Ivan! Hello fellow Academy mates!

I am Will, I am currently a college student, and an aspiring musician. I have a band in my local city that is just getting off the ground, and I used to be an Esports coach.

I am currently interested in economics, listening to and making indie music, exercise, and outdoor social activity (while the sun’s out, anyhow). Also, I am currently working on improving my physical fitness. While I’m far from an expert here, I do enjoy running.

I’m joining the Ivan on Tech Academy because I am a young man with enough time on his hands to develop marketable skills and become an expert in my city within the crypto sector. I have been paying attention to Bitcoin since I was a young guy in High School learning economics for the first time, and I am a huge believer in the concept of trustless, finite, decentralized money and monetary policy. Admittedly, I did not get in on crypto truly until my Dad said he was going to get into it, and I have been getting increasingly involved since then.

I have a motto, I don’t know exactly what I will be successful at in life, but I know I will be successful. I have many passions, and I try my best just to follow them and live life. I look forward to working hard here in the Academy.
