Introduce yourself

Hi All,

My name is Theresa. I’ve been interested in crypto since 2017. I’d like to start a new career in crypto (I seem to be gravitating towards DeFi) and dream of becoming an consultant or perhaps a freelance researcher in the space. The programming part of the course terrifies me!

My hobbies include horseback riding, working out, and reading. I live in Houston, Texas.

Hey nice to have a few of us around.

Hello Ivan, and all. Thank you for the opportunity to be part of this community.

I am Dr. Strange, and when I’m not busy being an action hero, I am a software engineer in the Banking sector.

I have an intermediate understanding about cryptocurrency and I’m here to learn primarily about the opportunities in DeFi. I feel as though there is great potential in that area…I just need a little push in the right direction.

I live in the Canadian midwest and enjoy reading, math (don’t judge me lol), chess and music. I go to the gym fairly regularly…at least I did before the COVID lockdown. Hopefully again soon.

Cheers
Stephen

Hello. I’m Luca. I live in Italy. I’m a jazz double bass player.
Until 2013 I used to work as a programmer back end in PHP Python Mysql Delphi SQL Linux.
Since November 2019 I have been going back to programming along with playing bass.
This days I’m working on a project for a client with Dash python and Raspberry PI4B for a medical application (read some sensors and show plots and some database info saving).
I know the economics and the basics around Crypto currencies and I want to learn how to code (make programs) for this new world.
Thanks,
Bye Luca

Hi there,

I am Amjak, a 40yr old man staying at the moment in Jordan, I used to work in investment banking… got weary with it and left it for a life in marine biology! worked on surveying coral reefs & instructing scuba across the globe from Mexico to Cambodia!

With prior knowledge on how the financial system and the central banking world functions and witnessing the actions taken by them in reaction to the pandemic i became convinced that another global financial disaster is imminent… maybe even a total collapse this time around!

Although i never believed the central banking system would allow or give way to Crypto, a total collapse of the central banking system might mean Crypto won’t need that permission since the Tower of Basel would have fallen! Nothing is impossible!

I decided to join the academy and expand my knowledge during this downtime, i’ve been following Ivan since the start before the studio back when it was “a programmer explains” or something haha good times! so yeah i can say i am an “Ivangelist” and on that note i will start with some intro courses and learn some programming or at least try to and maybe this might lead to yet another curve-ball that takes me on new adventures in this Crypto universe!

Hello my name Is Javier, I am from Caracas, Venezuela currently Living in Tijeras, New Mexico. In the east Mountains. I am super exited to be part of this community. Thank you for having me here!

Hey everybody,

Aaron here from New Zealand, I am an automotive mechanic and electrician, interested in all things technology and really want to get a better understanding of this technology, its applications and programming.
I heard about Bitcoin back in 2012-13, thought it was an interesting concept, but at the time it seemed too complicated. Kept an eye on it and dipped my toes in a few years back, have just recently discovered @ivan s youtube channel which has definitely reignited my interest along with a desire to up-skill and learn programming, started watching good morning crypto live and now have ended up here!

Just watched a couple of your videos. Great job!

Hello wonderful people,
My name is Mahmud and i am delighted to have joined this community. I was born in war torn Afghanistan and grew up with very little before migrating to Australia in 2006 where i couldn’t believe there was another world :joy:. Currently i am 25 and work as an engineer, but i am not happy with being an employee all my life. In 2019 i crossed paths with cryptocurrencies and immediately found an interest and started learning and investing.
I came across Ivan on Tech YouTube channel and really like his content and decided to join the community.
My goal is to continue my personal development and learn blockchain. I want to understand how it works and how i can apply it to solve real world problems.

I look forward to meeting you all and growing together. Let’s take blockchain and crypto to the moon.

regards,

Hi everyone,

My name is Jay, you may know me from the live chat as DeFi Fo Fum.

I found Ivan’s YouTube videos a few months ago and was immediately struck by the quality of his interviewing skills and high caliber of his questions posed. He quickly became a go to channel for my daily crypto news.

In March I was laid off from work and soon realized there was nothing preventing me from joining the live chat which begins (approximately) at 1:am in my location in Florida and found it to be a fun and engaging way to view the broadcast with many colorful and even a few very knowledgable characters.

A few weeks ago I decided to take the plunge and enroll in the academy, my goal is to gain as much knowledge as possible so that I can secure a gainful position in a blockchain related project or company.

Cryptocurrency is particularly exciting for me as I have a professional background in both tech and finance coupled with a stubborn rebellious streak that’s not a great fit for traditional FinTech but seems to be an asset in crypto.

I hope to learn more about all of you through this process and possibly even connect with a few to bring even more innovation to this exciting and fascinating community.

I’ve been on Ivan’s morning show twice and met him in person.

My wife and I love traveling. I work wherever we travel. During this Coronavirus emergency, I’m enjoying the “isolating” on the Mediterranean Coast of Spain

I got my first college degree in Computer Science, so I’ve done a lot of programming before, but not using Java or similar languages.

Hi Ivan and everyone on the forum!

I am exploring the blockchain world. I founded a company that wants to establish a digital identity/passport that allows individuals to access almost everything from a single point of access. That includes logging in to your social account , boarding a plane, paying for a meal and even opening a locked door. There are some interesting projects in this space involving the concept of self-sovereign identity. The gap I see is the lack of a bridge between the crypto world and the current world. That means providing a solution that traverses current identity needs in the conventional world while providing a bridge into the crypto future, in which I believe. I believe the key to this is communication and user experience led development.

We are, of course, a distance from that and have a long road ahead. But I joined this course and forum in the hope of building the skill set needed and also finding people who will support us along the way.

Looking forward to learning from you all!

Sher
