Introduce yourself

Hello, my name is Peter and and first of all thank you very much for your great videos Ivan!
I’ve learned a lot from them and love the fact that you focus on explaining the underlying technology instead of only creating hype videos.

At this point I’ve invested some money in crypto currencies and have created an excel spreadsheet to keep an overview over my portfolio which is spread across multiple wallets.
I thinkt it can be helpfull for others too, so if someone is interested in using it, you’re very welcome to download it at:

If anyone has some suggestions for improvement I would love to hear them.
Otherwise just thank you very much again and have a nice evening!

Hey Ivan (and others),

Im a guy from the Netherlands who lives in Malta making a living playing online poker.
I’ve been learning about and investing in cryptocurrencies for a couple of months now and must admit your youtube channel has helped me a long way. I don’t really know much about programming and don’t really think this will change any time soon but it’s great to see your opinion as a programmer on certain projects. I’m very interested and excited in everything that’s posible on the blockchain and likewise technologies but it’s sometimes hard to seperate the good projects from the crappy ones, but that makes investing in it all the more interesting I suppose.

Will def. follow you on youtube/steemit and here, keep up the work

@ivan like you, I live in Stockholm, Sweden :sweden: I am all-round person and have been working with ‘Information Security Strategy, Governance, Risks & Compliance Management’, ‘steering complex Internal & External Audits’, '‘Advisory Led Consultancy/Services Management’, ICT Business Development/Technical Sales’, ‘Project/Programme Management [Transformation]’, and ‘Solutions Development within R&D centres’.

I almost work 24/7… So, I am always busy…

Can someone from Stockholm help me to build my first good “mining machine” for ETH or Monero?

Best Regards, /SMS

Hello, ya’ll. My name is Luis from the plains of Lawrence, KS. Most of my work experience is in the sales and hospitality industries. However, I heard some news about litecoin about a month ago that led me spiraling down a seemingly endless wormhole of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology information. I’m fascinated by the possibilities behind this technology and how it could influence many institutions we have in place. I’ve seen documentaries, read articles, and have been following the Ivan on Tech channel to learn as much as I can. Ivan’s Youtube channel is actually how I heard about this forum. As a result of everything I’ve learned, I’ve started taking online programming lessons at freecodecamp.com. I believe blockchain will play an integral role in the coming years and I want to be involved with it as much as possible, hence my recent induction into coding. Looking forward to chatting with everyone, and learning as much as I can from you!

Hello Everyone!

I am Mark Kosierowski, a free-lance writer specializing in Economics and Personal Finance. My background is in investing, wealth transfer and risk management. I live somewhere around the middle of the United States of America.

My point-of-view is that blockchain can be an economic game-changer. I think of it in the same category as electrification or trucking - it can change the way things are done so dramatically that the new structures don’t even resemble the old anymore.

History and politics are my hobbies, so I view the development of blockchain in that context as well, not just economic or financial.

I came across Ivan’s video explaining the difference between gas and Ether. I think it was excellent and came here immediately on his recommendation.

Honestly, this is my first experience in this sort of forum. I’m not sure what I have to contribute, or how to go about adding value to the conversations here, but I am willing to give it a try.

Please feel free to ask me questions or correct me as necessary.

Mark

Hi Everyone! I have been involved in mining different cryptos since 2013. Mined LTC(was about $2 a coin then), DRK (turned to Dash when it left the darknet), Monero(current king of draknet), BlackCoin(first POS), Doge lol (it was more profitable then ltc for a bit), and almost all the modern ones Eth, Zcash, KMD. Ive built miners anywhere from 1 GPU too 12 GPUs on the current Asus mining board which I should be able to get 19 GPUs up. I run a private mining farm we do not sell our hash or do cloud mining. But I’ll help anyone if I can with questions and can at least help you learn what not too do. I’m not a trader or price speculator, I do not like the stock market or care about it’s tricks and theft, it accelerated all this tech to early through the horrible decision making of people that are wrong in the head. Now everyone is rushing and the worlds really not ready for block-chain tech but it’s happening anyway and faster then people know. 2015 was a big lesson for the community, from cannibalistic algorithms in the alt market, the world BTC news sucked and major exchange issues allowed bad things happened. But at it’s core, I think we lost our community and started to fragment and compete against each other and not co-compete against the world as crypto users, creators and investors. I’m hear because Ivan is one of the very few people I have found in 5 years that knows this tech and explains it well. Maybe help build community and pass what knowledge on that I can. I’m like an avid lifelong reader/researcher of good tech and code. I’m no author, I do not create code but I do enjoy it all at a root level like reading a book not a monetary and Graphic user interface level like most the planet. That’s where the magic happens in this industry. Same folks that gave us almost everything we use on the internet are now programming in this block-chain space.

Mahalo for your time.
